I used this wildcrafted chaparral leaf powder in my newest herbal supplement, Joint & Muscle Pain Relief. I blended the powder with devil's claw extract, white willow bark extract and organic bladderwrack powder. It helps with various types of pain, particularly inflammatory pain and rheumatism. It seems to be very helpful in relieving headaches and back pain.Chaparral has been used for centuries to detoxify the liver and the body. It supports the lymphatic system by helping dissolve toxins in your body. The oils in chaparral can decrease inflammation in the gastrointestinal and respiratory tracts. The herb is an astringent that helps rebuild damaged tissue, and tones the bladder and kidneys.The main issue I had was the smell of this herbal powder. It wasn't that it smelled or tasted like a regular bitter herb that I dislike. This powder smells very strongly of nasty, lab-made chemicals. I took a huge chance on this one because I was on a deadline and had no choice. But this doesn't smell natural or herbal at all- it smells extremely synthetic and toxic as and I don't think I'd recommend this product to anyone. But I usually trust Starwest and their products, so perhaps I can speak with their customer service about it.

This product is ok but the seller is selling 4 oz for $10 when you can get 16 oz for $12
