MSI GT73VR TITAN Pro 4K-479 17.3" 4K Display Extreme Gaming Laptop Core i7-7820HK GTX 1080 16GB 256GB NVMe SSD + 1TB VR Ready

This computer exceeded all of my expectations. As a professional event photographer, I needed a fast laptop able to handle a high volume of photos and process those photos while on site. I shoot several hundred, high resolution photos at every job. My clients expect finished product within a day or two and the GTX 1080 graphics card flies through the heavy load of post production. Upload time has been cut by 75%.I only have 2 things that I wish this computer had or would improve upon: 1) A built in DVD/BluRay burner. This issue was solved by a USB plug & play which works great. Of course this is another expense on top of an already hefty $3000. 2) The AC input is very loose and can easily come unplugged if you move the laptop a bit too much.

I bought this late 2017, and this is my review of the MSI Gt73VR TITAN with the 1080 Graphics card in it.The package was received without any damage to the box, and there was no visible damage on the outside of the laptop. I want to say that this laptop was built with replacing a PC in mind, with its bulkiness and the large charger that comes with it, but that is not the reason for my 4 star review.10/10, it is able to run multiple AAA games with the highest settings. I would suggest throwing another couple sticks of RAM in there because there are two empty slots. Video and photo editing software run like a charm.This is meant to be a gaming machine, and the cooling on the system would be one of the minor gripes, as the fans get LOUD. I would suggest grabbing a nice noise canceling headset to go with this so it doesn't bother you as much. The laptop has a built in max fan speed button you can utilize if you feel like it is not cooling down.I would heavily suggest getting an extended warranty to protect your investment in this laptop.The cons are that it is bulky, so know what you're looking for and what you're buying. The laptop came with 4 dead pixels, which was not enough through MSI's warranty to switch it out for one without any dead pixelation. Oily fingers will leave their mark on the laptop (not the keyboard) as well. I spend 5 minutes after every use cleaning it of the spots my hands. I fold the cleaning cloth so I can rest my hands on it without smudging it.Overall I am happy with my device. Look out for specials that include other MSI swag, like backpacks, keychains, headsets, etc.Let me know if you have any questions regarding the laptop, and what accessories.

I returned this item the day after it was delivered because the first time I turned it on and started to go through the personalized set-up, the laptop crashed with a blue screen error. A blue screen error on the first startup of a brand new laptop...? What would you have done I wonder?

Purchased this computer on June 28, 2017 as a gift for my Son. Booted it up for the first time on July 28, 2017. Within 2 weeks, a key fell off the keypad. Yesterday, the two of us sat down together, he plugged in the Delta 330 adapter and charger. The Charger shorted out, smoke started to come out of the charger and he was shocked from the charger as he was standing on the side of his hip! Do not know if the computer was damaged. Will bring it to computer specialist to see. Totally Disgusted.

This thing is a beast! It's as fast as the hardware specs would imply. Nice tools included to tweak performance settings. I also appreciate the option to automatically disable the touchpad when an external pointing device is attached. Display is big, sharp, bright, easily readable in most lighting conditions. 5 easily accessible USB ports so I haven't had to use my portable USB hub at all. This is actually a replacement for my old MSI laptop, which I also loved. So yeah, happy customer of the MSI brand.

This laptop is awesome. It took me a while to figure out that the two graphics cards cannot be active at the same time. You have to switch between them using one of the buttons on the right side of the keyboard. This is odd for me since my previous laptop was an HP and both cards were active and you had to select which card you wanted to use per application.

Real nice laptop but real expensive too. The keyboard could be better though. The number keypads are shrunken down smaller than normal keyboards and thus are poorly implemented. The non 4K display is not that bad. Mine has decent horizontal viewing angles that don't shift in color hue much. But the vertical viewing angle (move head up and down) does show more drastic color shift to red and blue tint. But overall the display is not bad at all and livable. If it were not for the keyboard that I don't like that much for the poor numeric keypad section, I would have given it 5 stars.

Computer is Awesome and a beast. Don't buy from Toll Brothers though, missed original shipping date by over a week even though they said it was in stock.
