Modified the Brackets to work for 1996 Honda 1100 Shadow ACE - Looks Sweet!
After not having many options for my 1996 Honda VT1100C2 - I decided to take a chance with this knowing I'd probably have to heavily modify it to fit. To my surprise the bracket lines match up perfectly to the bike lines. I have 2 bolts where I could mount stock brackets. These obviously did not line up and due to the size of the brackets, it would cover where my stock turn signals are. Luckily, the last hole on the bracket is EXACTLY where my turn signals would go, so I was able to mount them to the bracket. Using a cordless drill and a step drill bit, I drilled a hole through both brackets and voilà, it mounted perfect. Honestly I couldn't have planned it better. If you look at the pic, the turn signals are actually attached to the farthest hole on the bracket. No holes left unused. Looks awesome on the bike and super secure!UPDATE - 06/15/2023 - After replacing the horrible bolts provided to affix the bar to the brackets and applying some locktite, it is holding up like a dream. No pitting or issues at all. I've affixed many backpacks, luggage and passengers to it and it hasn't faltered. Great purchase.

Made my '04 sportster look bad a$$!
Super sturdy, great chrome finish. Other reviews mentioned messy welds but mine all seem clean and solid. The assembly screws are longer then needed as mentioned by others. Also as others mentioned the seat cushion back is not pre drilled and although it requires 4 screws only 2 are included and those are hilariously short and dont even make it through the bars much less the plywood seat back. The cushion is nice memory foam vs. Standard foam which is nice and the leather cover seems well made with solid stitching. Took a few trips to ace hardwaree to find the right size chrome hardware to mount it but all in all well worth the money. Also avoid getting items shipped thru UPS if at all possible. It took 3 weeks to get my package and it was all thrashed when i finally got it

Excellent for the money. Looks great, plenty sturdy when securely fastened.
Looks great, fit nicely (although I had to mount the brackets on the inside, rather than how they're shown in the photo). My only two issues are#1 I'd like to put some rubber spaces between the sissy bar mount and the bike, but the stock screws don't allow that.#2 the bolts that mount the bracket to the sissy bar are way too long and protrude quite a bit. They also seem somewhat cheap. Best to replace IMO.

Simplicity
The media could not be loaded. Simple & easy.Bolts may seem to short but w a little elbow grease I was able to knock it out.Looks great. I feel a lot safer knowing I have at least something behind me.Great for cost, it did arrive with a few scratches but NBD. 5/5

I wouldn't recommend putting a heavy bag
IMPORTANT. The screws that come on the iron are too small for this sissy bar. The package doesn't come with the screws. I went to O'Reilly and picked some up. The front needs a 2inch screw, 1 1/2 for the back screw. I wouldn't recommend putting a heavy bag, or someone putting all their weight on it. It isn't sturdy. It's great for looks. Easy to install, I suggest checking out a YouTube video or two for a idea of how to do it.

May need to go to the hardware store
First off I think this looks very sweet on my 48 but getting to that point was a bit of a hassle. first off the side plates was no problem, the bolts were a tab short but thats ok cause you don't want them so long they scrape the tire so I mark that as pay to play but then on to the nuts and bolts to mount the sissy bar to the side plates ... 3 out of 4 of the nuts and bolts were no problem but the last nut was about 2 sizes larger than the rest and that was a reason one to go to the hardware store but I pursued with the installation using 3 of the 4 sets then on to the back pad screws. These are wood screws meant to go through the pre-drilled holes in the sissy bar and into the backs of the pads well they barely and I mean just the tips of the ends barely reached through the sissy bar and was in no way shape or form going to be able to mount the back rest so there was the other reason to visit the hardware store for longer wood screws.... but outside that it is a good looking sissy bar...I should mention that I am only using this for a mount for a bag and not for a passenger and if I was using it for a passenger I would replace all the nuts and bolts that mount the side plates and sissy bar together with beefier nuts and bolts.

Fits 2016 Iron 883
About twice as strong as I was hoping for. Was concerned about the plates being too thin. Both the bar and the plates are stout. Like 1/8" steel plates and the bar feels like a piece of smooth rebar. Heavier than anticipated. The only catch is that they do not include the docking hardware so you'll need (4) 5/16" bolts. Also, the bolts that they do include (joins the plates to the bar) are seemingly very weak, I suggest you go to a bike shop and get perdier nuts and bolts. Bought the bar to ride to D.C. with the convoy. 1200 miles with over a hundred pounds strapped to this bad boy.
