50mm 12 Blades EDF Ducted Fan with 4S 2627-KV4600 Brushless Outrunner Motor Model Jet Aircraft

I've bought 5 other EDFs from Amazon of varying quality from ok to DOA. This one is different. First, it not only works but came perfectly balanced. It's more compact than all the other 50mm EDFs I purchased. It has mounting tabs on the housing, which is one-piece not two. I think they are using the same blade geometry as the rest but the fan is set back the correct distance from the induction lip to be most effective and quiet, not just "in there somewhere." They even went to the trouble to silk screen the spiral on the diffuser and logo on the housing.My only complaint is that the stator vanes are straight instead of slightly angled or curved, but that would necessitate CW and CCW versions, and besides, all the other brands on Amazon are straight as well.I'll buy more of these!

It ran nicely until I put 6s to it and exploded the fan100% my fault...Stick with 4s

Nice fan unit. Very quiet in the air and works well. I used this in a 3D printed EDF RC model. Integrated fan lip so if you need to remove it you have to cut it off. I used a 4S 2200 lipo with a 40 amp ESC and get about 3 minutes of full throttle so pulls about 40 amps.

Works great.

What I liked about this was that it was the perfect size for my rc f16.What I didn’t like was that it didn’t come with a esc,a battery, or receiver and transmitter.overall it was a great experience to learn from.

Bought this as a gift for my project minded grandson, looks great. Haven’t fired it up yet.

This is the second XFLY-MODEL 50mm, 12 blade EDF that I have purchased. Both have performed great. I am running a 4-cell Lipo battery with a 40amp ESC. I will purchased another XFLY-MODEL EDF for my next 3D printed jet project.
