I've been grooming my little long haired chihuahua for awhile using electric clippers to shave down his somewhat sparse coat on his back and underside, and then using kitchen scissors to trim other areas. This worked well for the style of cut I was giving him at the time. But now I want to change the style, leaving more length to the hair in his mid-section and doing more trim work on his ears, legs and other areas. Needless to say, my sharp kitchen shears just aren't good enough for cutting his hair, or mine either! So, after researching articles on "best scissors for cutting dog's hair" I narrowed down brands that weren't terribly expensive and decided on this kit due to what was included and price-point. I also learned how valuable thinning shears are for the style I want to give him. So ... I received the scissor kit yesterday, and this morning trimmed my own bangs and found that the thinning shear gives my bangs a much better appearance. In just a bit I'll be trimming my dog and I know I'll be pleased I purchased this kit. The shears are all very sharp, well made, and even using them one time they've already paid for themselves compared to the cost of getting him groomed, or me going to have my bangs trimmed! The additional metal comb is a nice plus, and the zippered case is very nice too, inside and out. I do highly recommend this product.

I researched all kinds of dog-grooming scissors before deciding on these and I am very pleased with the product. I have never home-groomed my dogs, always take them to the groomer, but I have a new rescue who is part Papillon so has shaggy hair on her ears, plus the hair on her tail and body grows so quickly, it's a problem less than 3 months after a $60 grooming. I've used these scissors on her once and they work like a dream. Very sharp ... I hope they stay that way ... and the perfect length. I can keep the hair around her back end short to make it easier and cleaner to go to the bathroom. Glad the scissors have the rounded tips to prevent me from inadvertently poking her. Seems like a wonderful product for the price.

I bought this set because of the need for multiple shears for my mother’s long haired dog and it was a US product. I finally tried out the set after bathing the dog and this is what I experienced: the blending shears (comb + scissor) needed to be cut in very tiny amounts as it tends to “snag” a bit when cutting but it did the job well for around the dog’s paws where a lot of feathering occurs. The bulb tip scissors was used around the eyes/snout area but found that the scissors did not cut well near the tip end of the blade so I reverted to using another short pair of scissors that I had for many years. The downward curved scissors was used for the chest area but found it a little awkward because an upward curved scissors would have been more appropriate but I was able to make do with using the shear upside down. The comb worked better than expected, too. On the second use of the blending shears, I noticed that the black ring from the finger hole on one side of the blade kept popping out which will probably be an issue but even with the ring out, I had no issue with the ability to use the shears. Overall, the set is decent for home use but sharper blades would really improve the set.

I bought this set to use between regular grooming appointments for my 2 mins month old Cockapoo puppies. They get matted easily. This set does a great job, sharp and a good size. The only piece I haven't used yet is the curved scissors. I groom then daily and they run up to the bench I use and fight over who will be first too "get pretty". They still are learning to be still, so it can be a challenge, but they are getting there.The only negative I've found its my thumb can get stuck in the handle (slips through) so it's not always easy to switch from one took to the other.Another note, th e spot in the case to his the comb is tight, the comb shreds the elastic holder.I would definitely recommend this set.

I am new to grooming since our groomers are shut down with the Pandemic quarantine. So, I ordered this scissors kit and clippers, a table, etc. My clippers and table won't be shipped for a few more weeks. I didn't know what to do. But, I watched an hour-long video on UTube and realized how important the curved scissors and the thinners were. So, I finally started in. I just trimmed our Miniature Schnauzer's head and our Poodle/Jack Russell terrrier mix with the Rubold curved scissors, thinners and comb. WOW! They look great! Thank you for making such a wonderful product. Your scissors and thinners cut like butter! I am SO happy!

I received the shears as stated and was really surprised at the heft of the package as I got it out of the mailbox. The quality of the shears is excellent in both material and workmanship. Very sharp and the comb is very sturdy.

Great assortment of scissors, solid quality and sharp blades. I was pleased considering the very decent price- I thought they’d be cheap in quality. That was not the case. I love the blunt tips, especially when grooming sensitive areas like my little dog’s eyes.I am not a professional so I hope to improve on my technique, but I did pretty well my first time out with this kit. I bought it to save money on grooming. With a little more time on You Tube and more practice, I’ll be very happy with this set!

These worked fine for about a year. Tried to sharpen and now don't work at all. I would t recommend.

Easy to use. So far, the scissors are still very sharp.

these are really great scissors and my wife likes them . the only reason they get a lesser star is because i can't get my big fingers into the holes even if i took the rubbers out .
