Cascade VB-1X(1G) Sprayable Acoustic Damping Compound 1 Gal

I have a LOT of road noise, mainly from tires which are cupped badly. I painted a gallon of this stuff in my wheel wells and inside the trunk. I don't notice any difference in the noise level inside my car. After doing some additional research I believe this stuff is designed mainly to stop panels from vibrating, think liquid dynamat, and not to stop sound from penetrating the cabin.
