Favorite Baselayer!
Favorite wool baselayer! I work on the water in the PNW, so having a good base layer is necessary! I have 3 pairs of these and wear daily. They are comfy, stayput, and come in great colors! Super warm, soft, and great quality. Preferred over SmartWool. Fit is true to size.

Really nice woolen base layer, no itch
Comfortable and WARM - just what you want in a wool base layer. Learned long ago that wool is a fabulous insulator even when wet, but didn’t think I could stand it next to my skin. These pants however are absolutely non-itch. I’ve worn them under slacks and under a dress and they kept me warm and cozy at 10 degrees F while I was outdoors and no overheating when I was indoors. Fit is as expected. I’m 5’4” and around 140 pounds and ordered a Medium and these fit well; so far I’ve had no concern with them sliding down when I’m wearing them with skirts or dresses.

Perfect fit and warm.
The teal color is dull but looks great (i.e. it isn't a bright color). Very form fitting. Sizing was true to chart in my case. Ease of motion in these would make a ballerina happy. So far, I've used them as an underlayer in direct contact with skin. No itching. It is nice that I can wear them for several days without stinking. Obviously - wool sucks to maintain so I won't be purchasing a stack of these as a washing machine would shred them. But still a great purchase for cold days as a functional yet stylish item that requires some hand maintenance.

Soft and warm
I love these long John’s! They’re a lovely, soft, thick merino wool. The waist band is wide, comfortable, non binding. I’m 5’4”, 155 lbs. and bought a large. They’re loose and a little long so won’t fit well under pants but are great as lounge wear and p.j.s. I’ll probably get a pair in med too for a snugger fit.

Excellent Wool quality
I've worn these for two years and they have kept their shape and finish. They're warm and soft. I use them as pajamas. 4 stars bcz I wish the rise was higher. Excellent quality.

Warm under layer design
Bring on the “Merry” True to size but I wish they had petite sizing for shorter women. Warm and cozy functional design.

Soft and Durable
I love these merino leggings so much! I have two pairs that I switch out. They are so so soft and warm. I have a different brand of merino leggings and they’re so itchy compared to these. I wash mine probably once a week (hang dry) and neither pair have any holes or thinning. I also love that they’re thin enough to wear under jeans and pants. I wear these all winter long! Will probably buy another pair :)

ok (2 year review)
had these for two years, wore them often. In those two years, they have acquired many holes through fabric-weakening/wear (primarily in the thighs). I'll say this -- when I invested in smartwool leggings, so many years ago, they were a solid pair of leggings for the entirety of the 6 years I had them. (Alas, a rafting trek took them out via a rock to the knee.) They ripped, and I replaced them with these. I expected these to be a similar level of quality. Hmm. I was naive. These lasted about a yearish before starting to fray and thin at the thigh, ripping in another few months. Is that bad? Nah. They held up ok and are a solid alternative. But if I'd paid 40$ more I'd still have a pair of leggings. Now I have to buy another. Of course, most people can't afford 100$ leggings. I can't. But, I think in the future, I'll save my money until I can buy real smartwool, or merino from my local camping outlet.
