Easy to install
Good quality, good price and the colour perfect for what I needed. The fit was perfect so I can't say about ease of trimming but certainly the material looks capable of withstanding some trim. Very easy to install and giving excellent blackout

Good value product
Easy to trim to right size, no fraying at all. Accurate colour. Easy to fit though the beaded string is stiff and not easy to drop/raise at the minute I’m sure it will loosen up with use. Good quality blind at a very good price

Good value for money
I bought one blind for the bathroom (aubergine) which I liked so much I bought another for the kitchen (red). They do the job well and come in a variety of colours. The size was as expected so no trimming was necessary. They are well packaged but the delivery company they use is not very efficient. DX Express send a text with a time window and don't turn up. This happened for both purchases so was not a one off. On the second occasion the time window was from 7am to 9pm and they still didn't come. Frustrating and disappointing as the product is good value for money.

Excellent product but ignore instructions if trimming down.
Very good quality product (5 stars). Material definitely blackout thickness and very attractive finish. We chose sage green which was very atractive tone.Fitting instructions fairly minimal! Easy to install if NOT trimming down to size but if eg fitting inside recess I'd recommend ignoring instructions and work out cutting dimensions from basic principles after mounting the brackets. I'd suggest mounting brackets first with one screw in the horizontally slotted hole so you have some scope later to adjust width of brackets. Then when happy with fit add another screw to secure. (There are 6 holes to choose from and 2 screws per bracket supplied.Yours may be different but my 8ft one came with a thin rolled STEEL pole (maybe steel just for long ones?). Certainly strong but a real pain to cut with a hacksaw which is suggested in the instructions which also suggest the pole is aluminium (and hence less hard). Bite the bullet and slide out the blind from the pole. Its easiest in the long run. I actually used an angle grinder to cut the pole eventually which gave a clean cut but you will have to file off the burrs with a rat-tailed file. I'd say not a job for the average householder. You need a good set of DIY tools. Re measurements, the instructions are incomprehensible. I'd recommend putting up the brackets first, then, allowing for the rolling mechanism (mine was 1.5cms) cut the pole down to size as described above. Then cut the width of material to match. The instructions recommend making the material 3mm less wide than the pole ("to allow enough space for the bracket" which is nonsence!). However it does allow the blind to skew a little as it rolls up without fowling the mechanism. When cutting the material its handy to have enough floor space to lay the complete blind out flat (tricky for the 8ft blind :-). You'll find cutting it to size without creasing the material a lot easier this way.So I'd say a 5 star item but 2 star instructions if you need to cut down to size.I'd definitely buy again if I need another blind. Recommended.

Very easy to trim
As other reviews mentioned, it is easy to adjust the width, thanks to them for the advice. We fitted the brackets and then measured the gap. The fabric slides out of the tube, we unrolled the blind fully but only slid the fabric across a few inches, to allow us the cut the tube (start at the bit with the gap, it is much harder to cut) we added masking tape to stop the hacksaw slipping, you will want something underneath to catch the metal dust. Get off the sharp bits of metal. Then mark up your fabric - because the fabric slides into the tube you only need to cut one side. I stuck tape on it and measured and drew line in pencil on the tape to avoid marking the blind. The fabric cuts really easily with kitchen scissors. Then just cut the bottom weight if needed. I will never buy a different type now I have used this one, there is no need for made to measure. Great value, and is blackout (except for the little gaps around top and sides).
