Not bad
It's nice. Fits well. Yes it does occupy an inch of the pillion's space but guys, I don't think that's a serious problem. The finish and looks are also okay. Definitely not upto the level of Enfield backrest for Thunderbird and Classic.

Good for bs6
I had this bs6 version and for reasons best known there is no original equipment manufacturer for backrest, most likely based on the premises the bike would be perennially used offroad. However Himalayan is equally good for city conditions and no doubt considering the potholes, rowdy speed breakers and driving habits in India, a back rest is duly advised lest some day the pillion may suffer a nasty and maybe even a dangerous fall.So with limited options and only this piece or brand available online, one had to bite the bullet and foot the bill. But fortunately, it's a perfect fit, looks good and except for the paunchy cushion which reduces some space for pillion, this is highly recommended. Just fit it yourself in less than 5 minutes with himalayan toolkit (rest assured it fits well) and is absolutely safe once those added screws are tightened. So good choice, even for offroad, if one is not hauling heavy rucksack on the rear.

Fits but with some workarounds
To fit this to your Himalayan, the bolts have to be long enough. The ones which comes with bike (to hold the tail light) under the pillion seat are too short.Another thing, which the manufacturer should think about, reducing the foam thickness. Because, when it's installed it overlaps with the pillion seat area.

For only BS6 version
If you have an Bs6 model then go for it, but if u install it then the pillion seat space will be reduced due to the cushion. If u install this in ur bike then the person who sits one side then space will be less. If your partner is sitting double sided then she can enjoy the comfort and you as well 🥳

Not a direct fit😊
I have a BS3 Himalayan, but I am thinking that the sub frame is not much different in the BS4 and BS6 variants. With the stock tail light mounting this back rest did not fit. It just kept pushing the tail light down and I didn't want to risk it. Lucky for me, I have RE panniers installed and it comes with an extension plate for the tail light (to bring it more out). But that was also not a direct fit as I had to cut the plate slightly to be able to mount the back rest.Overall it's decent quality, but I would prefer to have a 3 point mount to avoid bending. And please, give decent quality bolts and washers. My were too long and without washers. In my opinion the padding could be sofer, but I will ask my pillion after one of our rides.I would recommend this item only of you have some technical skills or know a good mechanic who can install it for you with minimal damage. Not a direct for for Himalayan BS3!

Very usefull for back rest

Quality of screws are really poor, couldn’t install as threads were already weak
Threads where cushion needs to be fixed where already weak, and length was not sufficient to fix them
