It is well made. Supports a fair trade program. The knitting and craftsmanship is good. This is the first winter knit hat that I have owned that has a liner. I was not sure how I'd like it, but I do. The knitting is tight ( as opposed to a loose knit). Not tight on my head, but the stitches are dense which gives it better warmth and wind blocking. The liner also helps block wind and keeps your head warm. It is comfortable and fits snugly in a good way. I am happy with it...time will tell how the thinnish/slightly delicate liner holds up. Even if it develops a tear, I won't mind repairing id with a few stitches😉

I just got back from days of hunting in the area on Montana known as the breaks during a cold snap. I hiked for days with the warmest temperature being -13° and the coldest being around -50° with wind chill. This hat saved me from getting frostbite, along with a heavy face mask. With snow from trees falling on my head mixed with sweating from hiking hard to stay warm, this is by far the best beanie I could have asked for and it might have saved me from worse than frostbite. I can give an honest review that this beanie is not only comfortable for cold days, but it can also save your life when you're in extreme environments. Thanks Everest Designs, I owe you one! The Cap Fit great. It was big enough to pull over my ears. It is super warm.
