Now I can cook a steak or whatever without getting a film of grease on the stove.It's perfect for chicken and deep frying.The lid is a skillet as well.It is really heavy construction. If you're sensitive to weight just get used to using two hands to move it.It's cast iron so will stick and rust if you don't know what you're doing. So do your research before leaving a bad review. Beautiful piece of cast iron, rather versatile allowing you to cook in pan or pot all in one package. Its a cast iron piece, clean it, dry it quickly and oil it and it will serve you well. I mainly use it to roast beef and it works really well for that. If you like the design for this piece, I strongly recomment it as your first cast iron piece to cover most bases in the kitchen.

A very useful and durable piece in your kitchen, but needs immediate cleaning and seasoning.I had it for a week now and use it every day, I have to season it after cleaning.Came to me without the picture, I was a little bit disappointed.

I get that there are imperfections however do these cast iron pots come with holes? Would have excepted it if it wasn’t on the cooking surface.
