For the price, this is an excellent product. My 6 year old really wanted to get a drone and saved his money for this one. It came the same day (thanks amazon!) which made a very impatient boy very happy. We've had it for just one day now and my observations sofar:- You can fly it almost immediately out of the box, it needs charging (about half an hour), but apart from that it is unfolding the wings and you're there. It also comes with little bumpers which we put on, you just slide these on, very easy. However, with the bumpers on, you can't fold them and store in the remote control. These bumpers are kind of essential for my crash pilot though.- It is probably even smaller than you think. My 6 year old was over the moon with a "aaawww, it's cute!", it fits easily in his palm, though with the bumpers it looks a bit bigger.- Time it flies is indeed about 8 minutes. Not long enough for my son, but I'm probably happy not hearing the annoying zoom all day long- These things are definitely not easy to fly. It is also advertised as 14+ years and I understand why as it is 1. really challenging to fly, though I think kids probably learn quicker than many adults and 2. we've had several incidents already that the motors started rotating while somebody was holding it, which can be a little bit painful. We've also had hair tangled in the propellers. They've learned their lesson now, but just to share that this is not designed as a kids toy and you probably want to supervise.- I was worried about the amount of buttons and controls that it would be too difficult to learn how it works and having to read a thick manual front to back, but the manual is actually quite brief and sufficient to learn all the options.- In day 1, this drone has seen its fair share of crashes but seems to be going strong still. Some of the propellers seem a little bit damaged or bend, but it flies fine. There is an extra set delivered with it, but I'll save those for when we really need them.Cons:- Bumpers don't stay put perfectly, they have fallen off several times and due to their size it wasn't easy to find them sometimes.- Manual doesn't read well, reads like a "google translate" job- Needs very frequent charging

My 7 Year old son bought this with his own birthday money about 3 weeks ago. He previously received a micro drone for Christmas that came from a warehouse club store. There is NO comparison, and this drone is amazing. He was having some fun off and on, but struggling to fly the cheaper drone because it would not stay trimmed properly, so it was nearly uncontrollable on every flight. With the other one, the propellers were exposed and flimsy, so every time they hit anything and/or crashed, they would bend and it would be out of trim again. NOT THIS ONE! The propellers are more sturdy, AND it also has prop guards (highly recommend). With the guards on, when he accidentally gets too close to a vertical surface (usually the wall), it usually just gently bounces back and he can regain/maintain control and keep flying, instead of the drone instantly slamming to the ground!After struggling with the other one, I think he was surprised how easy it could be to fly. Within the first 2 charges, he was already good enough to maintain control consistently, and get the drone to do what he wanted. By the 4th or 5th charge he had made up some of his own “tricks.”It’s cool that it can be charged from the controller, or USB, and also cool that it can fold up and be stored in the controller (but not while charging). The only bummer is that you have to take the DRONE-SAVING prop guards off to store it in the controller, and they’re kind of a hassle to take on and off because everything is so small.So far it’s been durable, and he’s had a great time! His teenage brother was impressed and enjoys it too, and now wants to buy his own drone from this same company.

This drone is really for children but I’m a grown adult and I love it it’s so fun to play with inside the house, not meant to be used outside of the house I think.Battery life is really good for its size.It’s so tiny and fun to play with. My dog hates it lol.

I just bought this for my son and it didn’t have the yellow charging cable thats inside the controller . I will be returning it.

Bought this for my 8 yr old's birthday....wanting a drone that was entry level. He wanted one that was really small, that he could pack with him and take camping. He was so stoked!! He said it was his "bestest" birthday gift of all. He and his dad had it flying within 15 minutes....after a quick trip to the local store for batteries. We especially liked the one button up and one button down feature, as I was picturing major crashes trying to land. We like it so much we are looking to get one for his sister for her birthday....she's 10. After about 2 weeks they had trouble with 2 of the motors not firing up. I called Holy Stone and they are standing behind the unit 100%. Many thanks to Ally.....and the crew there. I will update after installing the new motors. Will be a great experiment in wiring for the youngster. He is so happy that his drone will fly again! Yes....I would definitely buy from this company again. Customer service is excellent.

Absolutely terrible out of the box. I bought for my wife to play around in the house with. I cant imagine a kid trying to use this thing, it wouldnt hover in place to save your life so you constantly have to fight it just maintain some control. I followed the instructions and recalibrated before each flight but still didnt have enough in-flight correction to fix the issues. After maybe a total of 10 minutes of flight time the front left motor died all together and the charger quit working after 5 or 6 charges. I expected much more for $35 and all the great reviews. Wouldnt even waste my time trying a different one. Will be returning ASAP.
