I saw this product recommended during a cosmetology hair styling video. It works just as she started. Great for smoothing edges in black or very dark hair. ( I purchased the black) The color does not rub off in the color black. When you use it it’s like it’s invisible. (Can’t see the color on your hands) I haven’t used it long term , as we are currently in the stay at home order, but tested it. It not only holds the hair without damaging it, it also covered the gray hair in my hairline. Plus! Plus!

It smells great and held my edges all day

Honestly edge booster is one of the best holding gels that’s actually sticks on my coarse 4c hair. But it still has some flaws. Depending on how much you do use it can turn white (a little goes a long way !!) and if your someone like me with sensitive skin, then you will notice some bumps/blemishes along your face line because it’s such a heavy product, so honestly just remember to wash it out and wash your face well after use. And I wouldn’t use it but itself. if you have hair like me, I usually accompany the gel with got2b glue spray and the got2b gel for a stronger hold. Other than that it’s a great product! I always recommend to friends/ family !

I like that it's water-based. It does not clump up in my hair. My only complaint is that it has to be re-applied every day.

Pros:-A little goes a long way-light smell, not over powering-not super sticky-long hold-perfect size for traveling or purseCons:-leaves a white residue-tad expensive (I can get a full size in a similar brand for around the same price and put it in a separate container)I really really wanted to love this! It's so cute and small enough to fit in purse for those days you are in a rush. The smell is light and not too overpowering. I have curly/wavy hair and a lot of products either curl up my "baby hairs" even more, pull them out, or leave a residue. So far the only thing that has worked long term is Shine n' Jam with Shea or Bed Head Manipulator (a tad mess). I wanted something that I could keep in my purse that did not take up much space or easy to travel with. Upon initial use I was in LOVE, similar texture of the Shine n' Jam. However, upon drying it leaves a white residue similar to flaking or even a white patch over your edges. I have even tried mixing with a little oil to see if it helps but no bueno.
