This razor surprised me - I didn’t expect it to be able to compete with the more usual brands but, it not only does, it surpasses one of the expensive brands quite easily. I feel rather silly now for waiting so long to try it. My main razor, until now, has been a Gilette Fusion, which is very good but has become too expensive, in my view. I felt there must be better value for money and I have now found it. The Amazon razor matches the Fusion for both head and face shaving quality (most others don’t) and is considerably cheaper both to buy initially and refill. If you haven’t tried this razor, you really should! *UPDATE* After a little more usage I have found the blades don't last quite so well as the brand I used previously. This doesn't alter my previous review except to say whereas there is a good saving in using this razor, cost-wise, that saving may not be so great as I had previously thought.

I bought this as a travel razor and it fits the bill for that, for the price I don't mind losing it. The razor is better than many disposable razors and is nicer to hold. Handle - A nice cork handle makes it easy to grip when wet, and the blades are easily fixed to the handle. 5/5 for the handle. Blades - The blades are okay but after a couple of shaves start to drag unlike a premium that's good for multiple shaves. But for the price I couldn't expect much else. 3/5 for the blades.

Absolutely brilliant lasts a long time good quality well worth the money

Tried these ones as they have stopped making the original ones I had. The blades do the job but find they don't get a close shave, the handle is made of Cork which is natty and is easy to grip.

El motivo que me llevó a probar las maquinillas de afeitar de Amazon fueron los anuncios de Gillette con el futbolista Joaquín y su eslogan de "los pros sólo confiamos en Gillette". Su publicidad funcionó en mí a la inversa. No creo que fuese la respuesta de los usuarios que la compañía y empresa publicista esperaban, el que su anuncio llevase a los clientes el plantearse buscar alternativas a su marca, pero al menos en mi caso así ha sido. Tras investigar un poco me decidí por estas Solimo (marca de Amazon) y la verdad es que me han sorprendido mucho para bien. La calidad de la maquinilla en sí es muy buena, con cabezal de metal y mango de corcho con un tacto muy agradable y suave, por el precio el acabado es magnífico. Los recambios de cuchillas tienen una banda de aloe muy generosa que hace que proteja tu piel y lubrique de forma solvente. Sus cinco cuchillas apuran la barba sin problemas en una pasada, y de hacer varias la banda de aloe protege adecuadamente tu piel. Como único punto a mejorar, la hoja de la parte superior que sirve para labores de perfilado de patillas o barba acusa de falta de suavidad a contrapelo, pero en sentido normal perfila de forma suave y precisa. No tienen nada que envidiar a las de Gillette y mucho menos por este excelente precio. Quizás sea por el ahorro en publicidad al no pagar a futbolistas que digan lo "pro" que eres por usar su producto.
