Its a low cost, simple light- you get what you pay for. We had several trips with Scouts and within our family over the last 9 months and we used it in lots of locations. It was sufficient to use in the campsite, if there was some light at the campground. I'd recommend it for car camping in a somewhat lighted campground, or if you need to buy several. The flashing red is a nice option to have. The adjustable band is a big plus too.Its just not bright enough for my liking. Trying to navigate to the bathroom in a campground with limited lighting, this was not so good. You can see maybe 5 feet in front of you when walking. Not so comforting, especially in bear country. In the tent, maybe 3 feet. It wasn't bright enough to find things inside our tent in the dark, or when looking for things inside a camp box in the dark. We'd need a flashlight in addition.Of course, for a weekend camp or beach camping, or to strap to a kid so you can see them in the dark? It works just fine. We keep them as backups now. If you plan to camp someplace dark or with critters, get a brighter one.

I had modest expectations for these headlamps and it didn't even meet those requirements. To preface this review, I've owned multiple headlamps in my lifetime (because I use them for work) and these broke down after a week.PROS- Looks cool. Love the design. The color scheme. Easy to locate in your bag.- Price.CONS- Lasted only a month, broke down. Conveniently after the return policy.- Even if the head lamp worked, the strap connected to the lamp is easy disengaged. Not that I was doing extreme sports but it fell off my head.- Not reliable in a professional setting. This consumed lithium batteries (when it shouldn't since they provide FAR MORE charge than your average battery). Again -- not for professional use.CONCLUSIONUnfortunately, Amazon is being saturated with no name brands with little regard to quality and durability. This is is such an example. Buy brand name. All I can say.

Great headlamps for the price. Got them for my boys to use on the homestead at night. They love them. My only complaint is the plunger-style button can be a bit difficult to press in for them. They often have to take them off their heads in order to activate the switch. Small issue. Would buy them again.

These were awesome!!! We used them to go camping and they were perfect for all of our needs... My son loved that it changed colors and modes to use in different situations. They were soft on our foreheads and were lightweight. I will be ordering more of these once my younger boys get a little older and will need one for themselves.

Took it trick or treating tonight and the bulb burnt out within a half hour. Left us stranded in the dark. DO NOT BUY! Save your money for a better item.

Is good for seeing close. Not as great as a headlight for travel night walking approximately 5 to 6 feet bright illumination and 10 to 15 feet of vague path illumination. Easy to see in blinking mode red to be noticed by passing vehicle's. Batteries lasted fairly well.

I purchased several sets to give away as fund raiser prizes for our Trail Life USA troop because I have purchased them before and knew what I was getting. I'm obviously a repeat purchaser so that has to say something. Please do realize that these are not very bright but are easy to manage, especially for younger ones. I have I use myself quite often and it is very capable. I would put them in the category of great starter lights but maybe not something you want to have to rely on in rough conditions or wet/damp weather.

Bought these as backup lamps and for that purpose, they are perfect. The lamp attaches to the band in such a way that it will pull off the band when trying to adjust. They aren't super bright. The most frustrating part is having to cycle through all lights to turn off. I would spend a grew coats more next time
