Chef Craft Basic Melamine Jumbo Turner/Spatula, 11.75 inch, White

I really liked this spatula. The extra width was appreciated on many dishes. The bad news, it broke after 2 months. The not-so-bad news is that it wasn't all the spatulas fault. I was smooshing a hamburger, to be flatter while cooking, and that is what broke it. The good news, I do like it enough I'm ordering a replacement.

This spatula works great for turning pancakes. It is made well and very sturdy. Highly recommend.

We bought these because of the ever-changing cancer scare with our other utensils. First of all these are brittle, and they will break if you drop them from a foot off the ground. They will snap if you put any pressure on the food. But what really got me, was Amazon screwed up my order this time and sent me four of the same thing instead of three of one and one of the other, and the items were chipped, scratched, and filthy. Whatever was on them wouldn't even wash off with a magic eraser. Do not buy these. I have purchased them in the past and they were clean and nice, just very easily breakable and much louder to use when making scrambled eggs. I am extremely disappointed in the quality of this last batch.

With all of the news stories about how we should think twice about using black, plastic utensils, I have been slowly replacing them with white utensils. This spatula is strong and wide, and easy to clean. We've been using it a lot, and so far, it hasn't stained.

I've gone through multiple spatulas over the past year, all of which had problems. This one is by far the best I've come across. It's heat resistant (laid it across the rim of a hot frying pan and it didn't melt at all, like several others have), easy to clean (smooth, no grooves for food to get stuck in), and sturdy. Solid value; definitely recommend.UPDATE: Dropping from 5 to 3 stars. Over time, the plastic coating on this spatula starts to wear through. Underneath is a rougher surface that traps food particles and is impossible to fully clean. This has happened with multiple spatulas (at least 3, maybe more). Still a decent spatula if you can get it for $3 or less but don't expect it to last long under moderate to heavy use.

I needed a new turner to use with my new nonstick pan. Bought 4 different types of jumbo turners — a nylon one, a silicone one, an wooden one, and this one. They all had issues, but this is the one I liked the best and decided to keep.I didn't like the nylon turner because it started melting with just one use.The silicone one was not big enough and the curve was not right. It was nice to use on the nonstick pan though, soft and quiet.The wooden one was the cheapest. It was comfortable, but very poorly made. The edges were not finished properly and sealed. Probably why it was so cheap.This melamine one was the right size and comfortable to work with. Since it's hard plastic, I do think it may chip with regular heavy use.Still love my stainless steel turner the best, but this is good too.

I love this spatula. It feels comfortable in my hand; it has a good length and angle, a thin edge to get under food, is light weight. I have a spatula similar but narrower, so I wanted a bit wider one also. Perfect! And reasonably priced!

Great for the price. I misplaced my old pancake flipper and a regular old spatula just won't do. This one was an amazing price and does the trick.
