While it did the trick, it does not come with instructions. One star off for that. You really have to twist the orange thing to (a) get it out of the drain when it gets stuck--if you force it, then the barbs break off, and (b) to catch the yucky stuff clogging the drain. Once I figured out it had to be twisted, it worked great and very quickly. Just was frustrating before that.

These are an ABSOLUTE GODSEND if you have people with long hair that causes clogged drains in your house. our tub was slow draining for a while, we tried everything. nothing worked. I ordered these. When they arrived, I put some HOT water in the tub and used the plastic ones as directed. (The metal one is too big for the drain, sadly). It took about 5 minutes, one addition of hot water (remember slow drain, not clogged) and three good pulls to get the hair out of the drain but the tub is clear, the drain flows well and life is good. Bonus: the card even comes with a little grid to show the last time you unclogged the drain!I added a hair trap to the drain in the hope I will never have to do this again, but at least I know if I do, I have these to help resolve the issue!

I bought this set as well as another set that had a metal 39-inch blue handle drain auger. I have had two toilets plugged that I couldn’t seem to get free with a plunger. All it took to get them both unplugged was using the 25 inch Orange sink snakes, included with this set. I used it to help break apart the plug and then used my plunger and now I have my two toilets working again. I thought I would need the 25inch verses the 20 inch included in the other set, because of another review I read that mentioned for a toilet I might need the extra length. But just in case it wasn’t enough I also bought the other set with the more heavy duty 39-inch blue handle drain auger. Let’s just say I am set for the next time I have a plugged toilet or sink. I like the cheaper orange sink snakes because they are basically disposable and i don’t have to stress about cleaning it if it is gross. I have used these on sinks before and they work great with hair clogs. I would say it is well worth the money spent.
