Incredible performance
Incredible IR light. The focused beam lights up 200+ yards really well, and the broad beam is great. Absolutely fantastic IR light with great build quality especially at this price point.

Low, Low Power And No Power On Indicator
I do not understand the high reviews this thing has received. It is garbage.First, there is no way to tell with the naked eye if this thing is on or off. If you don't pay attention, you could drain the battery down to zero while it sits wherever you store it. It should be a huge red flag when the designers didn't even think to put some kind of power on indicator. A colored ring, a sliding switch instead of a pushbutton. Something.Second, I work with thermal cameras. The most powerful in the world, so I had a perfect test environment and I can tell you this is a weak IR flashlight. Really, really weak. Beyond six feet, it is useless.

An IR illuminating flashlight.
The light is a bit limited in that in tight focus the beam is about 3 feet square at a 20 foot distance, and when defocused, the intensity of the area being illuminated falls off far more than a similar design visible light flashlight. If I can locate the video I made of this, I will try upload this as it shows it very well.In the manner I intend to use it, the small size allows for it to be held with a clip type microphone holder, or even a regular preformed microphone holder. I did rate it a little lower due to it being rather small and not easily mounted to anything (I figured out the mic holder after the video was shot.). So this review may get updated in the future. The price for what this is not bad, but a single "AA" cell is a bit limiting.

Depending on uses, not bad.
I originally purchased this IR flashlight to mount to my Vr headset as opposed to having lights on , or installing a stationary IR light in the office. For connecting to the headset the flashlight is a good weight, being one LED, lightweight material, and once purchased, installing a single AA battery. IT weighed in at less than 1/2 a lb. As far as brightness, in a small room it lit up the area fine for my use. (Granted I have the light mounted facing up to refract the light off of the roof and get splash lighting for the sensors to pick up. This worked for the most part, however once the light hit a moving fan it would interfere with the beam and I would lose tracking. Moving into another con, as previously mentioned by a poster the light does generate a bit of heat depending on the battery you use. This also affects the life of the light as well. Using a rechargeable 1350mah Energizer AA I saw a few hours of playtime without much heat. When I moved up to a 3500mah battery I was able to see much more extensive playtime, however, the flashlight was now very hot to the touch. Having a heat-generating item attached to your headset wound up being like a lump of hot coal gently resting against your head. A little too warm for comfort. As far as it goes it seems nice for off an on use under a short period of time, however, you will need to look forward to charging your batteries much more often. OR look at a much higher expense on your battery purchases. All in all, I think I'm going to have to go with the stationary light mounted in the room. Little less freedom and convenience for a touch more stability. That and peace of mind that my flash light isn't going to go up in flames after an expensive play period.

Great IR light for such a low price!
Great IR flashlight for using my video camera in nightvision mode. It's very bright and goes quite aways. I noticed someone left a bad review stating that you can't tell when it's on. I almost didn't buy it because of that review. It turns out that was false. All you have to do is simply look at the lens when it's on and you can clearly see the square red IR light with your own eyes. Now I'm ready to go out and film Bigfoot once all the snow melts.

Nice torch
Love when a flashlight is called a torch. It somehow makes it sound tougher and more heavy duty. In this case, that mental picture fits. Very nice, small, easy to carry light.
