Barlee, with Dandelion, Coffee Substitute, Caffeine Free (3.5 oz)

I LOVE coffee but coffee DOESN'T LOVE me! I haven't had coffee in TOO many years because of coffee's negative side effects for my body 😔. HOWEVER, after reading the reviews of various herbal coffee alternatives I decided to try the Barlee brand. I purchased the drink with Rose Hip in it. After reading a negative comment about the Dandelion flavor being too bitter I knew I had to try it because that old bitter coffee taste is exactly what I missed. Both Barlee flavors arrive today! I peeled back the top and was PLEASANTLY surprised 😄. TO ME ...it smells just like coffee...OMG! (My husband and 19 year old thinks it smelled like honey...😒...really.)Anyhoo, it didn't stop there at first taste and nothing added it tasted bitter enough to feel my coffee void! And would you believe, it also gave me a hint of coffee breath #winning...lol. Now I feel like a true coffee drinker. No worries, I know how to remedy the breath situation easy, nothing a little coconut oil pulling can't take care of. I am not going to lie. I am concerned about having an allergic reaction simply because I do have allergies, (about a week or so has gone by now and I haven't had any obvious allergic reactions). I will say it doesn't seem as strong as coffee, (I have found 2 table spoons makes it stronger). I mix 1 tbs of the Ros Hip with 1 tbs of Dandelion mix, which they both taste simular. This brand does the trick for me as a good coffee stand in! 5 stars from me.

It is soothing and delicious, an excellent coffee substitute. It doesn't have any sugar beet in it, so if you are sensitive to sugar it is a great choice. I appreciate Dandelion which some people take as detoxifier and to improve functioning of liver and kidneys. Also you can make mocha flavor recipes by just adding cold milk and stevia or honey

When you buy Barlee Instant Beverage by the 4-pack, the price is incredibly reasonable (and when compared with the price of Postum, it's a real blessing). Everyone likes these grain drinks done to their unique tastes, and I'm no different. In a typical sized mug, I mix 2 teaspoons of Barlee drink with one teaspoon of Postum into 1/2 1% organic milk and 1/2 almond milk with Kal Liquid Stevia to taste. Heaven! So rich, delicious and soothing! In addition--sugar free coffee ice cream doesn't exist in my world--so I've started mixing Barlee Instant Beverage into my sugar-free vanilla ice cream--and although the texture is more crunchy (not a bad thing, in my opinion) it takes away my coffee ice cream cravings.

it taste really good somewhat like coffee but I like it better than coffee, I put a little milk and very little honey and I feel funnymentioning this but it great for bowel movement It works

Tastes just like Postum. I was so surprised! It was a gift for my father-in-law who loves Postum. Looks like hubby and I are going to also be gifting this to ourselves!

Oh my gosh! I love, love, love this beverage! I drink this in the afternoon in place of coffee. I am trying to cut back on coffee and this taste great!

When mixed with regular coffee, it gives coffee a Latte taste.
