Near audiophile sound quality mini amplifier with remote volume / input selector control
Some reviewers seem to have had bad luck with this amp. My experience, however, was much better. My three basic requirements: near audiophile sound quality, low price, and remote volume control. The Sabaj A2 meets that criteria.I decided between the Sabaj A2 mini power amp and the newer Sabaj A3 (a few dollars more). The A3 has one more input type (USB) and a more sophisticated (if temperamental) display. The A2 uses a TPA3116 power amp chip considered better sounding than the A3's STA326 chip. Note that THD (total harmonic distortion) is quoted as twice as high for the A3 compared to the A2.I already owned a Breeze TPA3116 D2 mini power amp which I really liked. However, the Breeze lacked any remote volume control which made it less useful with my HDMI-based TV, Android TV Box, and Window 10 mini PC.The Sabaj A2 comes with a 24V 4.5 amp power supply. I replaced it with the 19.5V 6.8 amp power supply (as used with the A3) that I used with my Breeze mini power amp. I gave up a small amount of theoretical power output but gained more headroom. The SA2 has both optical (digital) and 3.5mm analog inputs. By default, the 3.5mm analog input is active. The red LED displays 10.2 to indicate analog input, 10.1 for optical input and 10.3 for bluetooth input. To change the input source, press the left button on the remote control. There is a short delay when pressing this button so you will not hear the change in source immediately. Because of this, I thought that the button did not work. (I just had to be more patient.)There is digital EQ available via the remote control. Since I prefer a "flat" response, I did not try the EQ. I also did not try the bluetooth input but I may try it in the future.A remote control is very common for audio receivers. I don't know why this is so rare with budget power amps. I commend Sabaj for thinking ahead more than other companies in this niche market.UPDATE:If you do not need (1) remote volume control (2) multiple input types or (3) equalizer, I would recommend the simpler Breeze (aka Nobsound) TPA3116 power amp (audiophiles love it). Unlike the Sabaj A2, the Breeze TPA3116 does NOT come with a power supply. As mentioned above, I recommend a 19.5V 6.8 amp power supply for best sound quality.

Pleasantly Surprised.
I bought this to power a set of Polk Audio Monitor 5jr speakers in a small home office. I wanted BlueTooth capability so I could stream Pandora Radio and I had to have an optical port for a wall mounted television. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when I hooked up the banana plugs and powered it up. It sounds good and it can really crank and barely gets warm. I see the reviews have been mixed and its only been two days but we'll see how the long term results go.

A bit pricey for what it is
I spent a good amount of time digging around to find a decent amp for powering my Klipsh Bookshelf speakers. Hooked up this amp for primarily Bluetooth Playback. Ended up returning the whole set, because it was a mess of cables.Ultimately for the sound quality, I would prefer a built-in Powered speaker setup. If you must have a dedicated AMP, this is a decent option. But a bit pricey for the end result that you get.

GREAT FOR TV SOUND ADDITION!
A terrific amp for powering speakers from a TV.....and with an optical option, super easy install. Great sound. I would happily give it 5 stars, but the bluetooth does not work great. Sound quality is poor when using it. However in my case, strictly an amp for my shop TV.....and 2 bookshelf Infinity speakers with 100 watt capability.....if it holds up, it’s the best of several I tried.

Good little amp.
Good little amp. I only wish the remote was more user friendly. Seems like a generic remote, many buttons do nothing. Only user manual is printed on back of box.

Like this little amp alot
Affordable Sabaj A2 amp is just what I was looking for ... small inexpensive and sounds wonderful for the price. This is my sound bar killer set up. Cambridge Dac 100 and a pair of Polk Audio's TL2's. No sub is needed for my purposes.

Nice amp for the money.
This is nice, neat amp that is powering two Polk Atrium speakers on my patio. So far, so good with the sound and does notget warm.

Background buzz...
This amplifier outputs a quiet but rather abrasive buzzing sound via the speakers. It's not loud -- only noticeable in silence -- but it's an irritating background noise for my living room! The buzz is the same regardless of which input is selected (the only one I've connected is the optical input), and does not change in loudness whilst I adjust the volume, but it does stop when the amp is muted. It's not just a one-off fault -- a replacement has the exact same issue. The next model up (Sabaj A3) does not have any buzz at all though and is superior in just about every way -- I recommend spending the extra £20.Also, the manufacturer has changed the remote control -- it now comes with a better-looking one than is currently shown in the photos, but it doesn't come with batteries (takes 2x AAA) and since it's the same generic one that several manufacturers use, it has a few buttons which don't perform any useful function...

Spot on! Fantastic!
Absolutely amazing little amp. Smaller then I expected but packs a punch belief me. I only review when it's a really good product. I have a gaming pc with optical out connected via this to 2 speakers in my dining room for use with Virtual DJ. 5 stars for the unit itself. Bluetooth works flawlessly with my Android phone and girlfriends iPhone. Connected straight away. Also works with Alexa flawlessly. Only downside is the controller but that is probably because I'm using some recycled batteries. Again it's amazing. I would recommend some banana plugs which I have ordered separately. This is optional, but just for ease of use. For the price it's spot on.

Great sound and value for money, slightly let down by the lack of decent instructions
Audiophile sound quality for not very much money and in a tiny package. A great product. The reason I am only giving 4 stars is the instruction manual could be better. It is not clear what the various buttons on the remote control actually do, and it took me forever to figure out how to switch between the 3 input modes. I shouldn't have to resort to Google and YouTube to figure out how to use such a simple and basic device.

Very good
Very good for the price, have been looking for something to connect my TV to passive speakers through optical input and this works well

A fantastic quality product
I have 2 of these and use them to stream music to different places in my house. They offer excellent sound quality, are unobtrusive (small) and easy to use. They feel like a quality product (are brushed metal, not plastic). They connection options are exactly what one wants: optical, mini stereo and bluetooth. Can't fault these!
