Great introduction to composting
I love this system. I was so intimidated to compost and this is so easy to do. Bins are sturdy. I have had no leaks, no smell in the house, no bugs. Filled up bins faster than I realized which just shows you how much food waste we produce.

Real review from a real person. 10/10 would recommend!
I love this system so much! I live in a house with a small yard and wasn't keen on leaving compost outside- I don't have a cat anymore and really didn't want to attract rodents or pests. This system creates a pre-compost that you then bury outside, and it breaks down. By the time it's buried, it's too acidic for pests to eat. I also love the fermented tea that collects at the bottom of the bucket. I've been using it in my plants, and they are going nuts. I also really like that it's a small business. 10/10 would recommend!! I'm forwarding the link to my friends, too. The very first thing we put in the bucket was a bag of brussel sprouts that had gone bad. I thought for sure it would reek. You can't smell a thing with the lid on, and even when you take the lid off, it's pretty tolerable. It's a little on the expensive side, but again, it's a small business, and I think with the amount I'll save in trash bags and garden soil, it'll pay for itself in the end.

Perfect composting solution for when it's winter in cold climates!
I've been using this Bokashi composting system since January, and I'm really happy with it! The container doesn't leak, it fits lots of scraps, and the compost tea it produces is great for my houseplants. (Just make sure to dilute it LOTS- like 1 teaspoon of compost tea per 1/2-1 gallon of water works. I didn't dilute it sufficiently once and burned some plants.) No bad smells when the container is closed, and the Bokashi bran should be enough to last me quite a number of bucket fills. I only use about 1 tablespoon of the bran per 1" layer of compost scraps, and that seems sufficient. I ended up buying a second Bokashi bucket so I can keep composting while I let the filled bucket have it's required 2 week rest. I can't really compost outside during the winter and compost tumblers tend to attract the mice here, so this is the perfect solution!

One bucket has begun to leak after a few uses unfortunately.
This seemed like such a great bokashi composter. We've used it a few times now and it has been great. Unfortunately, this last time, I believe probably the fourth time we've used these buckets, 1 of them started leaking and we have had to put a short cup to catch the liquid in. Sometimes it has gone over before we could empty it and it stinks and makes quite a mess. I haven't yet contacted the makers of this product to ask about a replacement or replacement spigot. I just get so busy... it's been messed up for several weeks, but I didn't want to empty the bucket prematurely until the fermenting was done. I would love it if someone would reach out and help me fix this issue. Thanks!

Expensive...works great though
This system is expensive for the fact that it's basically a fancy compost bucket...but it really works well. I got the two pack which was a good call as I could fill one and let it sit and ferment while I filled the other. I kept these under my sink and there was zero smell. Ill admit...BOTH buckets are full and have been forgotten about. Under my sink has been there about 6-8wks since I filled it and i only just now remembered it was there bc its just starting to have a very faint smell. The other bucket I forgot about in my mudroom until a few months later it also, started to smell lol. for an inhome solution, this is awesome

Easy, no smell, no food into landfill
Just started using this Bakashi composter a month ago. and it’s great. I purchased after I had to get rid of fish and shellfish after a power outage and could not put into the outdoor compost. Smell free, easy, only effort is putting food scraps into bucket, sprinkling each layer with purchased “ pellets”, and once or twice a week, draining accumulated liquid from spigot (smells picked) which I add to outdoor compost. After a couple months, the bucket is ready to add to outdoor compost (or sand to compost pick up. I am pescatarian and will use for fish skin, shells of shellfish, leftover pet food. No food in landfill, which doesn’t break anything down due to lack of oxygen and expels methane.
