Mason Bee House Wax Coated Wooden Insect Hotel Attracts Peaceful Native Bees to Your Garden

Purchased some bumble bees this year so wanted something that may attract one of the new queens to over winter in my garden. All being well the beautiful Mason Bee House will do the trick. It is vey handsom and well made and will look very nice in my garden, very happy with the purchase.

This is one of 3 bee houses that I have and is the only one not being used. Both mason and leafcutter bees investigated but they have quickly flown off and chosen to nest in another house. I have experimented and have placed some of the cardboard tubes in another location. These are also being ignored. It is possible that the materials used to construct or treat the box and cardboard tubes are not tolerated by the bees. As I previously stated, the bees are happy to use alternative bee houses..The bee house however, is well made and looks good but no matter how 'pretty' it looks, it's pointless if it doesn't achieve it's purpose.
