This towel is super thin and light. I bought it to use as a regular bath towel, but it would also be good for camping or travel. It's not like a cotton bath towel, so don't expect it to be. If you want to wrap up in a cuddly warm towel, this is not it! However, if you just want to dry off quickly, this will do the job. It is not super soft. It dries really fast, and you can tell if it is completely dry because there is a color change. and much less expensive than the microfiber towels sold for backpacking.Size: 29 x 56 inches, and folds down to a square 8 x 8 x 2 inches.Weight: about 14 ouncesColor: Very light brown, I would classify it as beige, not the greatest colorI would recommend this towel if you are looking for a thin, light towel--but not if you are looking for something soft, fluffy, or cuddly.

This towel is nice and big, soft and absorbent. It made it into my gym bag without adding much bulk, which is the reason I wanted a microfiber towel in the first place. I found the color perfect for my needs. It is a nice light brown, it does not look dirty too easily. It gets four out of five stars from me because the stitching used at the edge of the towel is very thin, causing the fabric to be almost sharp. If you are in the habit of drying yourself by rubbing the towel back and forth behind your back, you will need to be careful not to do it to hard or you could get a "towel cut" or slight burn. I pat dry so it has not been an issue.

Most of our family have been converted. We are slowly changing out our older towels, although in good condition, for these superabsorbent towels. I write "most of our family" because some still prefer the more plush feeling towels which these are not. They do remind me a bit of rubber as others have mentioned, but you will feel the difference in how quickly your skin/hair dries. They are thin in comparison and take up much less room in the linen closet. I am quite pleased to require less time with a blow dryer on my hair as is my granddaughter who has very long, thick hair. Although not for everyone, they work nicely for most of us.

I was replacing all my old thick, cotton towels and was looking for lightweight towels that wouldn't take up much storage space, but most importantly, towels that wouldn't unravel or fade with use and had good absorbency. I came across these towels when I searched based on ratings, but I passed them over a few times thinking that they were a bit expensive (never spent more than $10 on bath towels before) and especially, because they weren't made from natural fiber. But I finally took the plunge and bought one. After using it, I liked it so much that I ordered two more (one was a set of two) in different colors!I washed all towels prior to use (as I do with all new fabric purchases), and the first time I used them, I honestly felt disappointed -- the towels felt "sticky", and I was forced to dab my skin in sections rather than being able to just run it all over like one normally does with a cotton towel. But then the 2nd...3rd wash later, I started to notice that it was absorbing better and better and in just one swipe. It also does a great job getting the dampness out of my wet hair super fast. Then this morning, my husband tells me that this is one hell of an absorbent towel -- and coming from him, that really means something!Do yourself a favor -- forget all those plush/heavy towels with 600-700 GSM, Egyptian/Turkish cotton etc. -- and just get yourself one of these instead. They work fabulously!

The jury is still out in regards to these towels. They are absorbent, fold up small and dry fast, which would indeed make it a good towel for camping. On the other hand, at home just getting out of a bubble bath and wrapping up in one of these is a downer. I like a large fluffy bath towel that is soft....these are not. Depending on what you plan to use these for (camping or home) is the determining factor. As for me, these babies are going to be packed away with the camping gear.

WE love these towels! They are very absorbent and dry quickly. Here on Maui towels get funky after just a day. The smell of mold on a towel is not something I want to achieve so I thought I would give these towels a try. They are soft but when your skin is wet they do not smoothly glide along your skin. You Pat yourself dry. These towels are also GREAT for the hair! You don't rub your head to dry your hair. Just wrap it tight and leave it for 3-5 minutes. My curls love these towels and have never looked better! They wash up nice and dry quickly. They shipped with a chemical like smell but that was gone after a couple of washings. I was concerned about not using bleach because mold needs bleach to really get towels clean but after using them for two months I can say that mold is not an issue! I have ordered two more towels and now have them in the green/hunter color and the Coffee color. I also love how thin they are. Four folded microfiber towels of the same footprint folded as my cotton towels take up the space of 1 cotton towel.

I know I sound like a Douglas Adams character, but I love to travel with a towel or two.More often than not, I hate, hate, hate the hotel towels they give you to take to the beach. I bought two towels to take on vacation. I mail one with my clothes and pack one in my carry-on.The prices on microfiber towels are all over the price. I paid $12.00 a towel. This is a good price.I received two "bath sized" towels (29x55). They are waffle weaved (a number of site recommend the waffle weave). The edge has a stitched border and the weave seems nice and tight. The towel has all the signs of a quality product that will give years of service.As I said, I bought theses towels to take on vacation. In particular, a space saver to pack in my carry-on. Having said that, I would not buy these towels for day to day use in the bathroom. They are a bit rough and they don't slide on the body. You kinda dab rather than rub yourself dry. These towels are also great for cleaning eye glasses.Thank YouandDON'T PANIC!
