Ships in open display box
The first time I ordered it, I received an open (and empty) display box...Amazon refunded it and I bought a second one (which also came in an open display box, but wasn't lost in shipping).The sharpener itself is a good quality product and quickly brings knives back to life.I hope the supplier sees this and begins providing them to Amazon in closed boxes...

My go to knife for cutting tomatoes!
I love tomatoes. This is the very best tomato specific knife I have used. I now use it exclusively for cutting up tomatoes. It is light weight. The little prongs on the tip are useful for moving pieces around the cutting board. It looks cool with the prongs, serrations, and the hollowed-out blade. I am not sure what makes it a better knife for cutting tomatoes, I just know it does.

A little practice and they are suddenly perfect!
They are a little heavy and awkward at first - there's nothing to rest your thumb against and takes a little getting used to. That said, they are definitely quality, very sharp, and easy to use once you get used to them. And they are well made for heavy duty use. The metal blades extend to the end of the handle grip making them practically indestructible. And, for smaller jobs - I just snipped a cup full of very sticky dates into tiny pieces - no sticking to the blades, creating clean separate pieces. Haven't used them for breaking down a chicken yet but I expect they will work very well. I am really glad to have a pair of kitchen shears that wont fall apart right away.

Well made and sharp
Very well made steak knives. These are equivalent to high dollar steak knives at a reasonable price.

Wicked sharp and holds up in dishwasher
Bought it to replace lost cheese knife for my old Caphalon 25 piece knofe set. I find it much easier to hold (large hands) and so much sharper. Great buy!
