Great Product - Does NOT work with Viva Brand Paper Towels
Great product in theory. Well made and it has a nice design. It does NOT dispense Viva Brand Paper Towels. I would love to have had it work as our new kitten loves to use the paper towels as his personal chew toy...Had to return it based on the machine NOT being able to dispense Viva Brand Paper Towels.

Motion detector paper towel dispenser
The media could not be loaded. What a cool product. The only complaint I have is that I want it in black. This touchless paper towel dispenser makes life so much easier. No more holding roll with one hand and literally ripping off with the other. Simply put hand over the activator and towels come out. After pulling off how much you want, the dispenser pulls in the remaining keeping them clean for next use.

Broke almost immediately
Only had this for a little over 2 months and it broke. This thing was a luxury. I only need a paper towel maybe 2-3 times a week, so realistically I only used this maybe 30 times before it stopped working. Red sensor light just stays on and doesn't retract the paper towel. I had normal towel rolls. Changing batteries didn't help. Don't recommend buying this given how quickly it breaks. I thought it would last given how much it cost. Buyers remorse. I guess I'll use it as a makeshift bread box.

Takes some getting used to...
I waited a while to review this because when I first got it, I wanted to throw it in the lake. I couldn't get it figured out as to how to rip off a paper towel without having this thing clog up and throw a fit, but after sticking with it, I can speak intelligently about it.The good; Runs on batteries or AC so if you have room on your kitchen counter for a wall wart you'll never have to change the batteries. However, the battery availability is good if you lose power, because if it loses power, it will lose its calibration. You'll have to dispense many paper towels and tear one off again to set its dispensing length. Maybe I can use them as a backup, I'll have to try that. The unit dispenses well, and holds well enough to rip off a paper towel when you want, easy to load, indicates when it's out. It also has a function to hold your hand in front of the sensor if you want more than one paper towel. Simple to use. Also available in Silver to match your appliances. The bad; I have a bit of a wish list here, and it's a bit technical so bear with me. I wish the dispense length calibration would hold between rolls and change only when commanded to do so by a button. A small gripe to be sure but it freaks out my girlfriend when I change the roll and 8 paper towels come flying out, and she didn't realize I changed the empty roll. I wish the time the dispensed towel stays out could be adjusted between, say, 2-10 seconds. I find it doesn't quite stay out long enough for my taste. Lastly, I have found that it has taken me a while to get the right method to tear off the paper towel, and a two-handed approach starting from the bottom or from the middle is usually best. If you tear from the top, you'll likely end up with a flag at the end of the next paper towel and a corner missing from the one you tore off. You'll have to figure your own unit out for yourself, but just know that it takes development of a tearing technique to get a clean towel with all the corners on it, and you've got to give it a month or so.Conclusion: Good gadget for your kitchen to help keep things neat and modern, but for the money, I think the two wish-list items I mentioned wouldn't be too much of a stretch. Takes some getting used to as to how to tear your paper towels off, and benefits from batteries so your calibration doesn't get lost.

Simply wonderful
This is awesome. We’ve had it for two weeks and I don’t know how we ever did without it. Works perfectly; sensor will pull unused towels back in and even when the roll of paper towels became almost empty it did not malfunction like you might expect.

Love It!
Cost saving for me! I was wasting far too much paper towel before I bought this. It's fairly big but i do have extra counter space and electrical outlets as it comes with a free adapter to use instead of costly batteries. For the people that have trouble with three sheets that come out, quickly rip off one sheet. Then the two sheets go back in. This programmed mine to dispense one sheet. When wanting two sheets just flash hand in front of sensor, one sheet comes out and let that sheet go back in, quickly flash your hand in front of sensor then it sends out two sheets. So easy! It's been months now and I can't believe the savings. The only disadvantage is when the power goes off then the light on it turns red and then you have to unplug, open hatch up and reprogram.
