I'll start by saying I have very fine slightly wavy hair that's damaged though I do not treat it (chemically or with heat, I just haven't taken care of it over the years and never got haircuts.) Anyway I've had this long a** hair past my big booty and I was starting to look like a witch or something. I trimmed a few inches, that helped, but I still needed more help so I did some Googling and Amazoning and decided on Prepooing with this stuff. I've used it 3 times now, I only shampoo every 3-4 days and will massage a generous amount to every last bit of hair and extra on the ends. Not sure if that's really how it's supposed to go down, but, it felt right and the bottle is huge. After slathering it up on my dry hair I go chill somewhere for 10min and then go on with my shower routine. Anyway, end result? My hair is way shinier, smoother, easier to manage, it honestly looks like I styled it lightly with heat maybe a blowout when I just let it air dry. Literally no frizz. My ONLY complaint is that I'm not a fan of the smell. It overpowers my shampoo/conditioner and hair serum. It smells...I can't put my finger on it...maybe like a musky amber vanilla type thing, very heady, I'm a light citrus fruity floral person, so this is my exact opposite, and then there's also a hint of like a waxy odor. I'm not positive if I'll keep up with this product because I am sensitive about smells, but believe it or not, I recommend trying it because everyone is different and I bet loads of people would love this scent and it's worth it to see if it helps your hair issues.

This is an absolute mustMy daughter has thin, curly hair and needs this as a pre treatment before her shower, without it I am battling a four year old with an attitude of a 14yr old!This has a strange but not unpleasant aroma, like a castor oil scentThe consistency is nice and thick but not too thick that you can spread evenly through the hair. I tend to leave it in for at least five mins before I rinse and condition her hair. This is my second bottle and it’s a must have now

My daughter has thick and curly hair. It tend to dry easily. This really helps to moisturize it. It does have a scent but it is tolerable.

Used it as a pre treatment for hair before you shampoo. I think it did help my hair only I expected much more shine.

I hope this helps someone as other reviews have helped me. I’m mixed (black and white) and my hair is the worst of both worlds. Super thick, coily in some places, curly in others, no real pattern, just randomness. And when it gets wet (particularly when I sweat) it just mats up right against my scalp into these impossible dreaded clumps.I also have severe depression AND hypothyroidism. So I’m bad at taking care of myself and my hair is dry and brittle and breaks if you look at it wrong. I have tried everything to get the mats/clumps out and keep them under control (and I mean everything, including silicone based detanglers for horses, dogs, and humans). Usually after two hours I end up in tears, with sore arms and half detangled hair.I AM SHOOK. This stuff is a miracle. I was able to get my hair fully detangled in about an hour using just a wide tooth comb. I put on a movie to distract myself and finished before the movie was half over. And with about a quarter of the breakage that I usually experience.It took a lot. I used about 3/4 of a bottle on my just past shoulder length (but again, incredibly thick and tightly curled/coiled hair). So if you have long hair you’ll probably want two bottles but it’s 100% worth it. And it smells fabulous (but subtle). I would give 1 million stars if I could!
