Traction Grip Overlays in Black for SCCY CPX-2 Pistols

I got a SCCY CPX2 for Christmas (yes a present to myself) and while searching for some holster options came across these traction grips from Galloway Precision. I am a fanatic when it comes to reading reviews for products that I am interested in trying out. Seeing all the great reviews I decided to order these grips for my CPX2. Shipment was very quick through Amazon, received it in about 3 days. When I got them I was too lazy to put them on and decided to wait. Yesterday which was a Wednesday was Ladies night at my gun range and I decided to drop in since it was free to shoot. This was my first time shooting the gun since I got it and was a little surprised with the kickback. After a couple of rounds I was wishing I took the time to put the grips on when I received them earlier in the week. I had to adjust my hands a few times to get a nice firm grip and start putting rounds center mass into the target.This evening I took the time to clean the gun and apply the grips. I followed the suggestion of one reader and cut the strip that is suppose to go under the trigger guard in half and applied it to each of the magazines extended finger guard. I also took the little cutout for the SCCY emblem (if you order these grips you will know what I am talking about) and applied it to the backstrap (curved area where you rest your thumb and forefinger on the back handle of the gun). His suggestions were right on because I already feel a noticeable difference with the handling and gripping of the gun. Also, use a hair dryer to get the grips to firmly attach to the handle of the gun. That was also another great suggestion I read from the reviews. I can't wait till next Wednesday to go back to the range and fire off some more rounds. I have attached pictures (a first for me for reviewing a product) so others can see what I am talking about. I am going to look on the manufacturer website for these grips and see if they make some for other models of guns.

These grips are one of the most value-for-the-money gun modifications that I have ever installed. Really easy to install - just follow Galloway’s instructions - I followed the hints of other buyers and used the extra pieces on other places on my SCCY CPX-2. First time I went to the range I could tell my groups were smaller and more centered, because of the increased grip traction. Buy a set - you’ll be glad you did. (I have no affiliation or association with Galloway.)2nd review - I bought another set for another pistol, and I found that Tractiongrips have changed this kit. I preferred the previous model. It used to have a couple more small pieces that you could put on magazine extensions, upper part of the blackstrap, etc. This new kit does have a better piece to go on the magazine extension. I wish Tractiongrips would sell these separately.

Custom fit. Follow the instructions on the use of a blow dryer to warm the surfaces after applying the grips. Squeeze and hold each area while warm and the adhesive will grab the pores surface. Use rubbing alcohol to clean all areas before applying. I cut the strip made for the trigger guard in half and applied each half to the finger curve on the magazines base extensions for sure gripping while drawing your weapon. If put on the trigger guard it would hinder holster in a concealed carry. And the sccy emblem cutout on the side grip fits perfectly in the curve between thumb and forefinger. Adding to a more secure grip in damp or dry situation. When squeezing grip after application feels like all covered areas are solid rubber. 100 percent improvement over the hard plastic surfaces of the weapon from the factory. Sccy should think of adding these at the factory. Two thumbs up! I must note that if you go directly to manufacturer site this will only cost $8.75 with free shipping. Every dollar counts. Didn't find this information until a month after purchase on Amazon.com.

These grips greatly improved the factory grip/feel of the SCCY CPX2, and were very easy to apply. They lost one star because they are not exactly "precision" cut to 100% exact match of the grip's outlines, but they are really close, and they should include a 4th finger pad to put on the second factory magazine.As others have said, the SCCY cut-out is perfect for top of the dove-tail, and if you take one of the three finger pads and cut it in half, you will be able to effectively cover both of your magazine's finger-grooves. If you are using a holster that secures via the trigger guard (Fobus, etc.), don't bother with the sticker that goes along the trigger guard. Using a hair-dryer to heat the grips really seals them on there, just remember to grip the weapon and push on the traction pads while they are warm!

Traction Grips has transformed my SCCY CPX-2 into a very comfortable and fun to shoot range toy. You can get a really nice purchase on the gun with the rubberized material. In my opinion, these are every bit as good if not better than Talon Grips for almost half the price. I thought the original hard plastic stippling on the grip was pretty good but these high-quality grip add-ons have fantastic stippling and make a world of difference.- It's a near-perfect factory fit. Just take your time and follow the instructions carefully. I think you'll be more than pleased.

I was skeptical but figured for $10, what the heck, and all the reviews were good. Then they arrived. I was expecting something, I don't know, a little more?? Then I got around to putting them on my sccy2. Followed all the directions, hair dryer and all. And the fit was EXCELLENT. Perfect. And then I picked it up and GRIPPED it. BIG DIFFERENCE. Hard to imagine how something so thin and similar in profile can make such a difference. Part of it, I think, is the softer, "grippier" material. It just grips my hand much better than the hard polymer frame. It feels like you could hang from this grip over a boiling pot of oil all day, comfortably.

Good fit, great grip, very comfortable, but I got more of a grey then a flat jet black
