JubileeYarn Moonlight Medley Yarn - Ombre DK Weight Merino Wool/Acrylic - 200g/Hank - Aquarius - 1 Skein

Recently changed colour palette and wanted an autumn shawl. Found this colour way and read the reviews and bought it in-spite of what I read not just once but twice (4 hanks in total). Yes it is 7 small skeins but they are all joined up and do take a little time to wind but each hank is 200g which is a lot of yarn, just don’t rush it or you will get tangled up. I have had no issues with splitting or the yarn sticking and used metal needles. Until I saw the pic of the finished shawl I had no idea how gorgeous the gradients were defined. Currently using my 3rd and 4th hank to make a granny square scarf and intend to buy more. It isn’t the softest yarn but it is cheap and worth the money. Hope this helps future buyers

Lovely quality ,beautiful colours

I absolutely love how this yarn feels and works up. Unfortunately it is very tricky to unwind in order to use it. This is the only reason it’s lost a star.

This is a ball of really nice wool. I thought they were separate balls, but it is one continuous hank. What was really annoying was how it was connected. It took me a whole evening to unravel this and put it into a ball I could knit continuously with because of the way they had tied around each colour. I had to cut it at one point, it got so knotted! Once I got started it was a really nice quality wool, and very soft, although you need to concentrate a bit as the ply splits sometimes so it is easy to put your needle through the yarn!

I absolutely loved this product when it arrived. The colours were great and it felt lovely. But then I started to try and use it.It's very very loosely spun. The ply is totally separated in a lot of this skein. Then there is the way it's been wrapped together. As you use each coloured section it's gathered, tied and slotted in different directions. After every few rows I was having to unravel the biggest knots and mess of yarn which on several occasions was just not possible. I've never had to cut a skein before now and this one I have cut 3 times due to the disaster of knots. These were made all the worse by the extremely loose spin on the yarn. I just can not recommend this to work with. Its beautiful to look at and to touch as a whole skein, but to use its useless.

The colour was what I loved about this yarn and was excited to use it. However it has a really awful texture, like the feeling of biting cotton wool balls. Or fingernails on a chalk board. I was really disappointed with it.

Lovely colours and nice soft yarn, but it took me longer to wind it into balls than it did to knit a scarf with it. Also, several knots and frayed bits with was annoying, and found it split and twisted as I was knitting. So sadly as much as I love the idea of the ombre colours, I won't be buying any more or recommending it.

Quite nice to crochet with and the graded colours promise a fab ombre effect, HOWEVER, be warned, the yarn is horrible to wind from the hanks that the product is arranged in. I thought the yarn was 100% wool but on reading the label noted that it is 50% wool/50% acrylic. Whether this combination gives it a tendency to knot when pulling just the smallest length, I couldn't say. Won't buy it again. Threw a complete hank in the bin and have 7 more to go!

This yarn is nice enough and I like the visual effect, but the hanks are too small for the pegs on my tabletop swift. I had to hand wind them into balls for weaving and the yarn got very tangled in process. I used it on both warp and weft and found the yarn to a bit "sticky" and had to keep fiddling with clearing the shed. I probably won't buy them again.

I am in love with this yarn. I'm working my way through all the colors. This shawl I made came out great.

I’m a newbie at sewing with yarn but these seem great so far! Even more beautiful in person, soft and easy to sew with. Also a good value.

Can't get enough of this BEAUTIFUL, soft yarn! The most difficult part of this purchase is forcing myself to not go broke buying more. Elegent colorways are always worth the price!
