works as expected and very useful for body or object temperature measurements

This is the worst, most useless infrared thermometer ever. TOTALLY inaccurate. My old-fashioned thermometer read my temperature at 99.5F (I was sick), this "precise" instrument said 97.5F. It has a feature called "temperature offset", which is a MANUAL adjustment to one's reading if it's off. The range is +/- 3 deg. Celsius (equal to +/- 5.4 deg. F). This amounts to a range of INACCURACY of 6 deg. C (or 10.8 deg. F).And you have to do it every time the ambient temperature changes, e.g., if you go from a cool to a warm room. Utterly bizarre! And the seller has the gall to call this useless, and NOT cheap, piece of trash "accurate".

Not user friendly for us. We followed directions but must be missing something. This could be great we just can't figure out how to work it to take temperature and youtube did not help plus no telephone number on the package except one in China

The thermometer is great, however the instructions were written in such small print, I assumed this thermometer was identical to one someone borrowed from me and never returned. Even though both models of my old and new thermometer look identical, this one requires a few seconds to read the temperature, IT IS NOT INSTANTANEOUS, so make sure you do not rush when you use it. the one I had before read instantaneously, sadly I have no idea where it is.
