Bosch Professional DSBE1012 12 In. Extension for Daredevil Spade Bits

Does exactly what it says on the tin."Its a Bosch" and is definitely fit for the purpose intended. I had recently acquired both the Metric and Imperial sets of the Bosch Daredevil Spade bits and this extention gives the user an unrivalled depth of hole drilling ability.Highly recommended.

Appears to be a good quality with couple exceptions;The extention's second screw tightening is not falling in the next connector's fastening grooves what endanger loosing the extention (s) in the longer holes. Secondly, - the extension's hole is round instead hexagonal, that creates a hassle of loosing grip of secondary extention or tool and loose it as well.I am in need, so going to weld them together.Definitely it's up to your needs and preference, but I will not buy it again.

those little screws fell off after a couple of uses. I had my wood bit stuck in a 8 inch hole because those screws decided to "I quit" right in the middle. took me half hour to get it out. DO NOT BUY. waste of money.

(The one in the photo is a 6 inch extender, not the 12 inch one, but I couldn't easily fit the 12 inch one in a good photo and they are identical apart from the length.)I needed to extend some Bosch bits with a standard hex shaft, and although this was built for those bits, I am pretty sure it would also work with any other similar bits! There are 2 hex-headed internal screws to hold in the shaft, and the whole thing is very strong and doesn't seem to 'wobble' too much off a straight axis.I didn't measure the thickness of the head but this passed through with a 5/8ths spade bit with no problems, but I think that's about the smallest bit you could comfortably use with this, maybe one size smaller, with a bit of pushing.Considering the low price of the Bosch spade bits, getting one of these will double all of their useful lengths, so it's a good cheap investment.Hopefully, you find this review helpful!

Absolutely solid! Used on a high torque drill with 1 1/4" speedbore bits and ate through with no issue. Only for hex shank however, wouldn't work so well on round drills.
