Wow! Dark and edgy; will keep you on your seat, wanting more!
SUMMARYWhen Woods sees Della at the gas station, not understanding how to put gas in her vehicle, he knew that he was going to have a one night stand with her and would remember every minute. He just didn't know that she would stay in his mind for months afterward. Nor did he think that he would imagine being with Della when he was with his future fiance, Angelina. And the one thing he did not see coming is Della coming crashing into his personal life. Because now that she has come back into his life a second time, he's not sure if he will be able to let her walk away again.A one night stand was not on Della's to do list, but she is just starting to get out in the world, so she supposes that it's okay. Besides, she has other things on her mind; like where her next place of sleeping will be. Or where she is going to be able to get the money to find somewhere to sleep. But when things go wrong at her current stay in Dallas and she needs to leave fast, one of her co-workers sends her to his condo in Florida. Tripp just wants to make sure that she is safe and is near his friends because he knows that they will take care of her if she needs it.Trouble comes, though, when Della realizes that she is back at the place where she had the best one night stand of her life. And then she finds out that he is going to be her new boss at the country golf course.Yep, things are about to get interesting. Because once she sees Woods, everything from that one night comes rushing back to her. And boy, was that one of the best nights of her life. However, she finds out that he is about to be engaged. After the last encounter she has, Della knows not to get in that situation. And Della has her own problems to deal with. Because when certain things are said or done, an attack is triggered. And Della is transported to the days where she was locked inside with yelling and confusion. To the days where she needs to get past, because she will not turn into her mother. The connection between Della and Woods is too hard to ignore, but if Woods doesn't do what his father insists, everything Woods has worked for his whole life will go up into smoke. Now, though, Woods is wondering what exactly he wants in life. Maybe it's Della. But first, he will have to figure out his life and get past the walls Della has put up. And Della has to figure out how to escape her dark past. Can things work out between Della and Woods, or will they forever be trapped in their own personal hells? Read Twisted Perfection by Abbi Glines to find out!MY THOUGHTS/REFLECTIONSI've pretty much decided that anything by Abbi Glines is a must read and buy no matter how much it costs because it will be awesome. This book was well worth the wait and the money I spent from the minute I clicked on the available link to buy on Amazon!I got this and finished it in 3 hours. I didn't take any breaks and I flew through this novel, loving every minute of it!I've got to say, this is a very dark and edgy book. The situation that Della went through makes my skin crawl. I could never imagine going through that. She may think she is crazy, or will be, but I think Della is very strong and amazing. This book is not for the faint of heart. There is a lot of sexual scenes in here, very descriptive. A lot of language and it really suited for older readers. But it is very emotional and very heart wrenching. All in all. For older readers, this is an amazing book! I would most definitely recommend it to other NA lovers out there and for any Abbi Glines fans this is a must read! And Woods. Oh, Woods. What to say about him. He is definitely different than what we were introduced to during the "Too Far" series, but that's what I like about point of view novels. We got Blaire and Rush's thoughts about him in their books, but Woods is definitely a lot different than what they perceived him to be. And honestly? I really liked Woods. He was always trying to make everyone else happy, but realized that he wasn't happy with his life. The struggles he had really showed how much he wanted to change, and what he really wanted in life. And the ending! I cannot wait to see what happens in the next novel! I had an idea what might happen with Della and Woods, but this ending brings all kinds of possibilities!Amazing novel! So glad I got it when it was released and finished it! Now I just have to wait until the next one :-/ I would most definitely tell other older readers to read this and hope that everyone enjoys it as much as I did!

Get wood with Wood's
I was so excited to get Woods story. I had no idea what Della's story was going to bring to this series. When you begin reading you're in Della's mind three years ago as she finds her mother dead in their home. Her best friend Braden is there and helps Della as her mother's body is taken away. There are small pieces to Della's past in this brief chapter.Jump ahead now four months from present day and Della is starting a journey to find her life. Braden has left for her honeymoon and given Della a car so that she could travel and live a little. Della spent her whole life trapped in her own home by her mother. Throughout the story you get glimpses into what Della's life was like with her mom. She meets Woods for the first time at a gas station when she realizes she has no clue how to put gas in a car. They get upclose and personal pretty quick. With Woods looking for a break from his reality and Della looking to live life to the fullest they go for a one-night stand. I was needing to clean up after the quicky in the truck. And then I had to read it again. All of this happens before you even get 8% through the book.Present day, Della is in Dallas. She has to stop long enough to get a job to earn some money for her travels. After getting majorly screwed over (pun intended) by her boss, it's time for Della to hit the road again. Luckly the bar tender she works with has the perfect solution for her. He just happens to have a condo she can stay in that's on the beach in a small coastal town, and his cousin can even get her job. Della had no idea Tripp was sending her right back to the town where she met Woods. As for the job, it just so happens that she's slept with her new boss too.Della struggles with nightmares every night about the abuse she suffered at the hands of her mother. Woods struggles with being forced to marry a girl, Angelina, who he doesn't love or even like. Woods' is forced to abide by his father's wishes if he ever wants to advance in the family business. They decide to try friendship. Bethy and Jace are just as cute in this book. We get a hint at things that happened with Grant since Never Too Far. No one knows about Della's past until a night out with the group. Woods had no idea his questions would trigger Della to freeze up with a flashback to her childhood. Despite this little revelation, Woods doesn't run. He wants to take care of her and protect her.Woods isn't the only one wanting to be there for Della though. Tripp decides to come home. Now Della is forced to tell someone else about her past. She doesn't give Tripp the details but prepares him for her nightly screaming fits. Tripp convinces her stay a while longer and then maybe travel together when she decides to leave. After witnessing one of her night terrors, Tripp is determined that Della shouldn't be alone.Yes, Tripp is making a play for Della too. This is just the push Woods needed to make him claim Della as his. I love getting to see the deeper side of Woods. He has such a good heart. His grandparents were amazing and are the reason Woods didn't turn out like his father. I love his honesty and even more I love his naughty talk when he's making the moves on Della. Good lawd it gets hot.Tripp really wins my heart when he has a talk with Woods about what happens at night with Della. In her best interest, Tripp has Woods come over after she goes to bed so that he can be there for her when she screams in her sleep. Finally you get the whole story about her childhood and why her mother went crazy. It's such a sad story. Again I just had no idea what Della's story was going to be and you can't help but love her.Not only does Della have a confrontation with Angelina but Woods father thinks he can buy her off. The s*** that man pulls is epically eff'ed up. Braden and her husband take care of Della. When Woods finds out about what his father did he flips his s*** and tells his father they are done. When Woods gets to Della she explains all of her fears to him about her mental health and how she found her Mom. Then it's all passion and I Love You. Turn the page and the author throat punches you. I was so happy about the bitch named Karma that makes an appearance in the last paragraph of this story. It really is Twisted Perfection.I can't wait for the continuation of this story. I'm just as anxious to get Tripps book. Grant needs a book too and don't forget Bethy and Jace. Abbi Glines is going to be busy for a while =)

“Not everyone sees you the way you do. Sometimes our imperfections are what makes us special.”
Awh Woods baby, you finally found your match. This is part 1 of a duet and I do recommend also reading the “Too Far” trilogy before this duet, however it isn’t necessary.Woods Kerrington, heir to the fortune of the Rosemary Beach Golf Club where the wealthy play. He’s been bought up his whole life to take over the club with the catch of an arranged marriage to hotel heiress, Angelina Greystone. That is until one fateful one night stand with a Della Sloane, which puts his life plans on a complete flip.Della Sloane grew up thinking she was lonely and not “normal”. With deep dark emotional secrets, she was on a road trip to find herself. Only what she didn’t expect was to find her heart in the hands of a lost wealthy man.Woods needs Della like Della needs Woods. They can’t stay away from each other and soon, find themselves relying on each other more than they should. The relationship does get a bit toxic with Della depending on Woods to bring her out of her panic attacks and take her away from her nightmares. Woods is so amazingly supportive but I did wish Della was more independent on realising she needed professional help. Not just Wood’s.Fortunately there is a happy ending, but also a cliffhanger which makes you want to jump right into part 2 of the duet.4/5 Stars with a 4/5 Steam rating.

Your in safe hands with this author.
Just finished. Couldn't put it down. I have been reading so many YA books recently and it's difficult to find the ones that appeal to my more mature age and don't get tiring because of the teenage angst and drama. Abbi's books really do fit the niche I am looking for as her characters have baggage, or are in difficult situations which make them behave in a more mature way although often with their innocence of youth being damaged in the process. This is Woods and Della's story and I think could be read as a stand alone although does follow 'Fallen too Far' and 'Never too far' and some of the characters are constant throughout these books. In usual Abbi Glines style we have a heartbreaking leading lady and a strong very alpha (and very sexy) leading man. You know that Abbi will take you to the edge of a tragedy and then bring you home safetly with a lot of heat (phew), and some teeth-gritting tension. There is a cliff-hanger but one that I don't think affects the overall story and romance of the two main characters, you will be smiling at the end. I HATE cliff-hangers but I was ok with this one. Another good read Abbi. Thank you.
