I have had a painful neck and shoulder for a few months. My Orthopedic Dr was assessing it as a shoulder problem. I got this in an attempt to determine if it might be a spinal nerve problem rather than in my shoulder. The first time that I put it on it started to relieve my pain. It would appear that my problem was a spinal nerve issue rather than a shoulder problem. It turned out to be a great temporary aid to resolve my pain. I still need to see a spinal orthopedist to determine how to resolve, not just treat my problem.I'm 5' 8" and purchased the 3" collar. At my height, it may have been better to get the 2.5" collar as the 3" one does chafe a little.

Good but if you want a better support pay more and get a bigger one. Felt itchy after 30 mins of wearing it.

I bought this for my son Velcro It was a very nice collar but was too short .i returned it Mon. the 21rst and i received a refund Tues Thank you.

This Neck Brace (I ordered the 2.5" Large) did not come as specified. It's actually almost 3 inches high verses 2.5. See picture. Anyhow, since I had it, I tried it last night and it wasn't a good fit. I did not put it on tight, but loosely around my neck. It was already putting slight pressure on my chin since it's higher than 2.5", just shy of 3" - see pictures. I laid down with it on and after 2 hours, couldn't stand it any longer with the pressure & heat. The foam feels like standard foam vs memory type foam so it's a bit stiff and hard feeling after wearing it for some time. It also heated up. The material seems like polyester so doesn't breath too well. I'm going to see about returning it if I can. Not sure since I tried it for a few hours. It's definitely not the size that is stated or that I ordered. Also, the box arrived a little crushed and looked like it was already opened by someone.UPDATE: The company reached out to me with support and allowed me to get a refund. Although I still stand with my review above, this company has decent respectable customer service which is much appreciated. If you have a longer neck size, perhaps this collar will work for you.

Absolutely 5 star. I have a 17 inch neck maybe 17.5 could be 16 who knows, somewhere around there based on the last 30 years.. I injured my rotator cuff which was due to 8 months of repeating the same position mechanically over and over until failure. Healing an injury like this comes with tons of compensation from the Levator, Rhomboids, and lower lats, all of which pull on the neck and traps.This brace is memory foam and depending on how tight I wrap it can go from being just a nice safeguard stopping movement past probably 15% angle, to 5% mobility. Simply letting the neck fall into it can relieve some compression and allow the muscles to finally relax and calm down. Allow the nervous system to stop guarding.The perfect tool to calm a flare up. A supporting brace not a mobilizing brace.

I'm sure this might be better for someone with a shorter neck. I did get the 2.5 inch but honestly don't thing the 3 inch would have been much better. I just felt like it was choking me. Other than the size the material wasn't that comfortable. I don't think it would have been something that I would have enjoyed wearing for a long time. It was kind of itchy. Not recommending but I will say if you have a shorter neck and need something quick this might be a good temporary help but nothing long term.
