Depends what you want it for.
I bought it thinking it would fix my video quality problem. Turns out because my door bell is inside a porch and it’s dark, the video quality on the ring is washed out because the street is bright. It can’t compensate like a camera lens can. If I had a bright light in during the day I’d get better quality. When people come on my porch to deliver mail or pckgs. it gets better and once the sun moves behind my house then my video quality is great from the front porch.

The shade blocks the field of view
I read the 1 star reviews before the purchase, however, nobody posted this. I hope some one had. So here it is.BE AWARE! The shade blocks field of view at the top right and left of the corner. I have a Ring wired door bell. Doorbell, mount and shade were all properly installed. I estimate the total blocked field of view is around 5%. You can actually see the blockade from the ads photos of this product. It is more obvious if you haven seen the field of view without obstruction. Someone may not care, but I don’t like it.This blockage of field of view can be resolved by removing the shade. It still works as a wall mount, but you can see the gap that was designed for the shade. Not obvious, so usable.The field of view issue could have been resolved by a better design of the shade.On top of that, a screw broke during installation. The screw was not sharp enough to cut into the siding easily. You give it a bit more force, the cap got twisted off. I had to use my own screw which has sharper tip.I hope my review can help you make your decision and help the manufacturer to improve.

I’m needing the angle because my wired doorbell is between brick and a storm door in a tight spot that restricts the view of the Ring doorbell. This product is very much wider than the doorbell. The screws that allow angle adjustment are exposed and unattractive. This will be returned.
