First, in no way am I a coffee expert. I drink coffee everyday at work, and love trying new coffee. I use a burr mill grinder,drip coffee maker, and Brita filtered water.From my basic understanding, all roasted coffee beans have a "sweet spot", and to help find it, first use 1.5 - 2 tablespoons ground coffee per cup of water, use same brew time, and start with medium grind. As you experiment and adjust the "grind size", it can affect the final flavor profile of the coffee. Once you feel the flavor profile is reached, you can adjust the strength by lowering the amount of ground coffee per cup. For my personal taste I like 1.5 tablespoons per cup of water and a medium grind.This coffee is very bold, with hints of dark chocolate, caramelization, and just a hint of sweet/light bitterness at the end with smooth finish. Bonus is the lower acidity. It's a bold and unique taste.I actively support small business and have purchased from this seller in the past. Product was already expired when I received it.And I am unable to return or get refund.

I ordered the beans at end of Aug and the bag had a roasted date of last Dec so they were old. After opening the bag, the beans looked dry and there was no oil or sheen. Brewed a couple of pots anyway and you could tell that it would've tasted much better if was fresher.

The aroma and flavor are great

I’m a coffee fanatic and once I saw the stellar reviews of this coffee I immediately ordered it. I must say I am very disappointed with the results. Despite all the complex tastes this coffee is said to have I find it one of the most bland and tasteless coffees I have ever had. I have tried increasing the amount of beans I use, and increasing the brewing time ( I use a French press) all to no avail. I have served it to other people and asked their response and the uniform reply was “nothing special.” I will say it is a very smooth coffee, but it is definitely not a tasty coffee. I usually buy my beans from a local roster and they definitely have roasts with a very chocolate and nutty flavor so it’s not my inability to taste these flavors in coffee that dictate my findings.

What a great cup of coffee! I got my order yesterday and this morning I brewed my first cup. The smell of these freshly ground beans was delightful. I just have a regular srip coffee maker and prefer my coffee staight, no creamer or sugar. You can really taste the chocolate and hits of the caramelized sugars. I highly recommend this coffee.

I bought this coffee to give as a Christmas gift but it smelled so good I ended up keeping it for myself … no regrets! I will definitely order again.

Bold enough for my dark roast craving but not overly bitter.
