Good Fit
I ordered the XL size in this product but ended up being sent an XXL. I ordered it for a Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 300mm F2.8G ED VR II not knowing how it would fit the lens with and without the hood in place. The XXL fits loose (lots of wiggle room) with no hood, but snug when covering the hood. Makes it easy to fit/remove the hoodie in a hurry. I tend to use this lens with the hood in place, so the XXL size was a good choice. The XL would have been a tighter fit on the lens hood. Making it a bit more of an effort to get on and off.The hoodie seems to be well made. Haven't put it thru much stress since purchase. Neoprene, however, tends to deteriorate over time as it gets roughed up. We'll see how long this one lasts.

Only if it was easier to put on.
I hate dealing with lens caps. You see something that triggers your shutter itch, and you run and grab the camera. The moment is still strong--you haven't missed the "Kodak Moment." You bring the camera up to your eye and--Dammit! The lens cap is on!So you take it off and then spend another couple of seconds thinking about where to put the damn thing. By the time you put it away and bring the camera back to your eye to take the shot, the moment is gone. It's because of situations like that, I decided to go on the prowl for a solution.I considered making my own solution with cloth or cardboard and elastic band, but then I thought, maybe someone already made something like it and turned it into a product. And that's where we are now. I found LensCoat and bought one.I knew I had to make modifications to LensCoat even before I bought it, so it's not that LensCoat is the 100% solution I needed--it simply cut down the time I had to spend on making the cover aspect of my solution. In addition to LensCoat, what I did was to fix a nylon string through the label flap and then tie it around my lens, so that I can quickly pull off LensCoat and not have to think about where to put it -- I just let it hang. While hanging, it does not get in the way of me shooting, whether in landscape or portrait orientation. The soft material of LensCoat means it does not clang against the camera/lens, so when shooting a video, it won't introduce unwanted noise. The only thing that's annoying about the LensCoat is that it's stretchy material makes it hard to put on a lens that has a petal-shaped lens hood. You absolutely need both hands to pull and stretch the LensCoat so that it would go over the petal shapes. My suggestion is that a new product should be developed, where there's a quick-release clamping system, where in the open position, the opening is wide enough so you could just slip the LensCoat on without needing to pull and stretch it (which wastes time and requires both hands). Then once it's on, you just close the clamp and it's nice and secure. The clamp can be inserted between neoprene layers so it won't knock against the camera/lens and make noises (or scratch them).

Difficult to put on but still a good value
The rigid disc insert I got is white not black as shown in product photos. The black insert just looks a lot better than the bright white insert. The lens hoodie is a bit tight and I have to use a different procedure to put it on: remove the lens hood, stretch and put the hoodie over the lens hood, put the lens back into the hood (in reversed position), reach inside the hoodie and tighten the lens hood screw and unfold slightly folded up lens cover around lens hood. Having a hold near the bottom to expose the lens hood screw like lens manufacturers do on their OEM lens cap would be a better idea. It's much more time consuming than put the manufacturer's lens cap on. The upside is that the hoodie stays in place when lens hood is not attached to the lens, which can be the case when you want to keep the big lens in your carry on luggage. It offers good protection to the front element and looks good with the lens cover in the same pattern.Let's hope it'll be a bit easier to put on after repeated stretch and use.

Lenscoat XL black hoodie
Because Amazon isn't particularly diligent about connecting reviews with the actual items which are being reviewed let me say up front that I am commenting on the Lenscoat XL hoodie not some other size. This size perfectly fits a Canon 300 2.8L NON-IS lens. (It does NOT fit the Canon ET-118II sun hood for this lens and you cannot stretch it over that hood.)The Canon 300 2.8L NON-IS lens is probably the largest lens that the XL size fits well. It goes on relatively easily and can be removed with reasonable effort. It grips the lens well enough that it will not slip off by accident.

Good product
For what the product it needs to do….it does well.

It Floats
So it's a glorified koozie with a quarter of the material for 4x the price. That said, it does seem to help with general banging around. I do wish it stayed on better but on the upside, when it falls off in a creek you can find it floating downstream. Next time I'll probably buy a koozie and some scissors so when it inevitably falls off it doesn't cost as much.

Good
I have purchased numerous Lens Coat products designed for specific models of lenses or camera bodies and they have always been great fitting. I ordered this based off of the lens hood diameter and Lens Coat measurements... it is loose but if I am careful, it doesn't fall off the rig. The only problem is, this was purchased for an "on the go" wildlife setup. (Canon R6 and 800mm f11 glass) So, I am guessing it is only a brief time before I am back tracking looking for this product.

Lens Cover
I love the cover but I’m using it on a sigma 150-600 contemporary lens and I personally find the fit a little bit loose it’s fallen off on more than one occasion but I use an elastic cord which solves this issue apart from that. Great product

Perfect Fit
As my large lens doesn't have a lens cap, this was just what I needed to protect the lens.

Easy purchase, great addition.
Just wanted to say these things are great. I originally bought one for my 200mm f2 because Nikon didn't make a cap that large. Later on I purchased one for my 14-24mm because the plastic cap Nikon provides is large and awkward to use. Sony pinch caps aren't as nice to use as Nikon so I just got one for my 85mm 1.4 G master. They give the lens a bit of extra protection and fold up small inside a pocket while using the camera. I also like the splash of color they add to otherwise dark and boring camera gear. I have never had to replace any of mine. LensCoat's neoprene is thick and durable. Now that Amazon Canada sells these I'll probably get more. Thanks Amazon!

good for canon 14mm 2.8
got this for canon 14mm 2.8 first gen. fits great, the lens didn't come with original cap so this is the best cheap way to protect it. more functional than original caps actually. i got a larger one for 11-24mm lens and it's just as good. i use lens coat for all my larger f2.8 primes telephotos and they offer great protection.

Bought the recommended size and it fits the bare lens hood
Product as described, bought to replace a falling apart Sigma soft lens hood.Bought the recommended size and it fits the bare lens hood.Find it very difficult to install, if the lens hood has the matching LensCoat product on it.Hoping it will stretch a bit over time, LensCoat LCHLDC Hoodie Large (Digital Camo)LensCoat LCHLDC Hoodie Large (Digital Camo)
