This is a good product for the money. The adjustment feature may niggle some, but if, like me, the way you tie the tie means you need more material than usual, it's great - highly recommended if you are attempting to handle a bow tie for the first time. It's not the best material, but definitely good enough, and once you feel confident that you can get the knot right, and know what size of tie suits your technique, you can order one without adjustment, which will look better with upturned collars.*Background'Back in the day' I bought a similar design from Moss Bros, and it did well for years. The main difference between the Moss Bros one and this is that the Moss Bros one had neck sizes printed on it alongside each adjuster slot, which made things easier. Getting this one to fit with my style of knotting required a few trial-end-error attempts until I had the front and back parts of the bow the same size. Like another reviewer, this took well over an hour ... so don't leave fitting and tying to the last. Get the length right, then run through your technique well in advance.

Purchased to hone the skills of self tying seems to do the trick as it has a good adjustable neck band.

quality seems good, it kept its shape after practicing in the mirror with youtube on a tablet for well over an hour. I got many comments on the night for NOT wearing a clip-on so I think its worth the extra effort. It has an adjustable section to make the overall length longer or shorter so it could be reduced to suit my 16" neck and still be a neat small bow.The bad? It seems the length adjustment clip is exposed meaning on a proper wing-up white dinner shirt people wont see a solid black band all the way round, its broken with a small gap where the two 9 (adjustable) halves meet.

Nice black bow tie, goes up to my 19 inch neck. Just need to practice tiying it well. Is adjustable for size so if you have an open collar you will see the the adjustment joint in the fabric but it isn't to distracting.

Im writing this review because I got the right tie as described but I ve never tied a tie before so couldn't get it to tie properly. YouTube showed me a tie that was not slippery as a silk tie, this tie kept getting loose. You can make this tie shorter to fit your neck size.If you know to tie a tie already then this silk tie will be suitable for you and will add to your wardrobe.

lovely tie. I feel much posher than I would with a clip on. Just off to burn £20 in front of a homeless person

Arrived in 2 days and was fit for purpose even though it took several youtube videos to help me tie it.

This was better than I had hoped for. Looks like a smart "normal" bow tie but is adjustable; just the job!
