The printing for the instructions is small and a were a challenge for this old man to read. Initially they were confusing and took me awhile to figure out, but once I realized the sequencing things went pretty quickly. I have set and later modified settings with no problems. The timer works as designed, internal clock and timing are accurate and seems well built. Ours is outside but in a covered area so I can't comment on its ability to withstand the elements. The battery back-up is a nice feature and makes it easier to make modifications to settings without losing the initial setting. Overall, I am pleased with the purchase.

I cant get this contraption to program. I consider myself pretty smart but this thing frustrated me to no end. Gonna give it a few more tries and if a no go will send back. Bought it specifically for my Christmas lights and couldn’t get it to work. Will come back and update if I get it to work in the next few days. If I can figure out how to update a review.

Once it is set up it works great. Set up a little tricky.

Purchased this timer to run our holiday lights on the back porch, where the unit would be exposed to the elements. It is under an eave but still gets hit by light rain and snow. For two months now it has been running perfectly; even the timer seems to be only a minute or two off after several weeks, which isn't bad in my opinion. What I like most about it is the battery backup: even if the power fails, or the GFCI outlet trips (which it sometimes does) the timer keeps track of time and resumes correct cycle when power is restored. As designed, the unit naturally hangs downwards from the outdoor outlet. The sockets are at the bottom of the unit, which is ideal for weather exposure. Water is less likely to get into the sockets and trip the GFCI... or worse. So far, so good.

I read several one star reviews about this timer before I bought it, most complaining about how hard it was to program, but I just knew from the specifications that it was a good timer. I was right. It's the best timer I've ever had, and for a very reasonable price. Because of the negative reviews about the difficult setup, I was dreading doing it, and even took a couple of days to build up the courage to dig in. When I did, I couldn't believe how straightforward it was. I have no idea what these people were talking about. I finished in a few minutes, and it's now timing my Christmas lights. Thank you for a great product!

Very difficult to setup!

I purchase both ones with timer and the ones without. I will forever use the ones without that you just link to the app. Much easier to use an easy set up.

This worked for 2 days then quit. Can't return because box went in recycling. Disappointing

This product is very hard to set up, I contacted the company and advised them they need to redo the instructions as there are a lot of people writing reviews saying this time is to hard to set up, just not myself. The product it self looks ok just cant tell you if it works well becuase it is so hard to set up and use.
