Read the description to understand this product requires a Zigbee hub like Aqara Hub. I used it with conbee 2 for homebridge. Took 5 minutes to setup and must be drilled on the wall. Made my dumb blinds smart with such a low cost and no requirement to replace the custom blinds. Extremely satisfied and this is my third reliable Aqara device

I was skeptical at the beginning, but it was simple to install and the 3m adhesive works like a charm no need for drilling in concrete (in my case) The tricky part was to manually set up the close and open position but it turned out to be simple, just follow the instructions in the manual guide. As an advice, if you have Samsung smartThings setup you can download a community driver to control and automate the curtain open and close without the need to buy an Aqara Hub.

I was excited to try the Aqara Roller Shade Driver E1 for my larger-sized blinds (220 by 290), but unfortunately, it has been a disappointing experience. It seems that the motor struggles significantly with the weight of my blinds. Contrary to the silent operation touted in many YouTube reviews, the motor on my unit is noticeably loud, which is quite frustrating. Additionally, the design appears to have some flaws. The cap over the roller motor consistently comes off whenever the link that joins the roller chain passes by, which seems like a significant oversight in design robustness. This issue makes the whole setup feel unreliable and poorly constructed. To make matters worse, the accompanying app has been a letdown. It frequently crashes on my iOS device, making it difficult and frustrating to control the shades effectively. The lack of responsiveness in the app adds another layer of annoyance to an already troubling experience. Overall, the Aqara Roller Shade Driver E1 has not lived up to expectations. It struggles with larger blinds, has a noisy operation, suffers from design flaws, and is backed by an unstable app. I regret this purchase and cannot recommend it, especially for those with larger window setups.

This product is one of the best smart home products that I had purchased in my house. This was my interaction to know Aqara and the quality of the product is excellent as well as the reliability. I would definitely buy more Aqara products in the future.

Das ist besonders praktisch, wenn ich in den Urlaub fahre, spät nach Hause komme oder einfach nur zum täglichen Öffnen und Schließen morgensfrüh und Abends. Die Tatsache, dass der Rolladenmotor per USB C wiederaufladbar ist, ist ebenfalls ein großer Vorteil. Es entfällt das lästige Wechseln von Batterien, und ich kann das Gerät einfach über das mitgelieferte USB C-Kabel aufladen. Die Verarbeitungsqualität des Rolladenmotors ist beeindruckend. Das Ding ist wirklich super solide, gefühlt könnte man damit Nägel in die Wand schlagen. Die Einrichtung war einfach und unkompliziert. Insgesamt bin ich mit dem Aqara Rolladenmotor sehr zufrieden. Die nahtlose Integration in Google Home, die Einstellungsmöglichkeiten für die Öffnungsgeschwindigkeit, die Timer-Funktion und die praktische USB C-Wiederaufladung machen ihn zu einer sinnvollen Ergänzung meines Smart Homes. Great product from Aqara that works really well with the Aqara smart home system (requires an Aqara Hub). I have it connected to Home Assistant via an Apple HomeKit bridge, and it can also be conveniently controlled with Alexa using a third-party integration. I did have one unit randomly stop working, but Aqara support was extremely helpful and quick to send out a replacement. Highly recommend both the product and Aqara’s customer service if any issues arise.

This is a neat and easy way of automating any roller blind shade. You don't need to pay a fortune to buy the motorized roller blinds that are too bulky and limited in size. I have it on two blinds. The motor is strong enough to even operate the long and wide (180x210cm) blind.
