This is a low level (by Nidec's standards) server-grade fan, but by regular computer standards, a high performance fan.The base design is intended for high static pressure operations, such as push/pull configuration on a liquid cooling radiator, or through fan filters.The difference between this and the regular Nidec equivalent is the fan blade color; it's black. Perfect for those who don't want an unsightly gray/white fan color clashing with their case's color scheme.The only real issue with this fan is that the cable comes unsleeved. So you have 3 loose wires to deal with when cable routing, instead of just one sleeved cable. It's not a big deal unless you want a clean, professional look. But if that's what you're wanting, you probably already know how to sleeve your cables or chose to buy an EK-Vardar instead (near-identical performance, but more options; may be cheaper than GTs depending on your location).

Performance is good, but when running at the mid speed range, it has a whining noise, when running at full speed, it has jet engine noise. I will not tolerate either. It's up to you to make your decision.

These are very quite and blow a lot of air.
