I love this book
I loved this book and have been able to apply the helpful tips for parenting my 3 young children.I’ve read so many different parenting books but this one is literally like a breath of fresh air. It isn’t too wordy (very important as I’m still having sleepless nights with my youngest child!) and I’m able to dip into it to help navigate me through everyday situations with my children. It has made me much calmer when dealing with challenging behaviour and also more responsive to my kids emotional needs and less judgemental of their behaviour. It’s definitely the best parenting book that I’ve read.

Thoughtful, useful advice and knowledge for those times when you need some answers
I like the layout of this book. Full of knowledge and advice, it is utterly sensible and easy to navigate to find the information you need. Many varied problems and issues are addressed in its modern, straightforward and eye-catching format. There are plenty of "bullet points" and suggestions on how best to manage all manner of situations. It has helped me to understand a great deal more about child psychology and development, plus, how to diffuse potential problems as they arise.

Far too basic
I think we're relatively considered first-time parents with reasonable common sense, and enjoy books like the Danish Guide to Parenting. Perhaps it's because we're older parents (of a 4-year old), we found this book basic. It would perhaps be suited to a parent who feel like they don't have a clue. Two stars as it wasn't for us and it was returned.

Must read for parents of young children
As the parent of a 2 year old found reading this book invaluable - broken down into interesting age sections and the layout of the scenarios makes this really easy to read. Nicely illustrated and scientific (but not mind-bafflingly so!)

Helpful and accessible.
A really good book. The layout is something I particularly appreciate as it’s different from normal “textbooks”, instead of pages after page of overly technical language and idea they have laid this is out in a far more reader friendly way. Each page and chunk of information can be accessed at anytime and the knowledge can stand alone.Glad I’ve purchased this book.
