This is a great product. My Blu-ray remote stopped working so I bought this universal remote. It was super easy to set up and it works perfectly. So happy.

Didn't connect with Sony bluray player. Can't connect with Jio set top box. If it couldn't connect then what is the use of it.

For several years I have been using one remote for our TV, another for the surround sound and a third for the DVD/Netflix box. I seemed to be the only person in the house who could master it. I tried multiple programmable remotes and nothing ever worked. I took this remote out, put in batteries looked up the codes for the Sony, LG, Philips items I had and ..... everything worked. I think I had to try a couple different codes to get the one that controlled my products but it was super easy. I am thrilled every time I use it, to just have one remote now. I recommend it. Only complaint is I don't like the very skinny volume and channel control buttons but not that big a deal.

The remote was fairly easy to program and is very affordable. I have some general complaints about it though. First, one of the most frequently used buttons on my Roku TV is the back button (exit channel and go back to stream selection) and this remote uses a TINY "Exit" button for this purpose. It needs a big back button. Second, the remote must be pointed directly at the TV IR receiver to work, so you wind up punching buttons while pointing downward, which means you're mostly looking at the bottom of the remote while using it. Again, overall works as advertised but the design a bit lacking.

I bought one of these in order to attempt to control my entire home theatre in my man cave. While I was able to control my Samsung TV and my Yamaha HTRx Receiver, I was not able to control my Nvidia Shield streaming media player - and for this reason, I give it 4 stars instead of 5. However, it is good quality (which i've come to expect from Philips) and it works well for those devices which it can program. But I liked it enough to buy a second one, for my second home theatre in my livingroom. Like the other remote, it came preprogrammed to control my Samsung TV and I was also able to program it to control my Denon HTRx Receiver, but it did not work on my Bell "4K Whole Home PVR" (ie. Arris model VIP5662W). So again, 4 stars... but i'd almost say 4.5 stars, because it feels nice in the hand and i'm able to control both my TV and my Receiver, so at least I have one fewer remote to use. I do recommend this remote, and the list of devices it can control is quite extensive.
