Do the Leatherman bits from the bit kit work with this?

Scissors broke within first five minutes of use. Did not reach out for replacement

I opened the tool using the lock mechanism, but it won't close back. Is there a lock mechanism to close it?

If the tool is closed, and you are looking at it from the back of the hook on the fire striker side if you look at the bottom of the hook, there is a small little lever looking device. If it is pulled down, it is locked if you push it up and it tucks some what away by the back of the hook it is unlocked. If your tool is new, it’s also gonna be kind of hard to open and close it even with the lock off it will take some time for your tool to actually break in. I hope this helps.
