Huge but functional
I was skeptical about how big this product is but I used it to paint my baseboards and it was a breeze to use. Definitely helpful for a beginner like me with keeping paint splatter from going everywhere. Its lightweight and easy to grip.

Works as it should
I used this to hold the cardboard shields to paint my detached two car garage with an airless sprayer. It worked just fine. I went through about 10 sheets of cardboard painting the whole exterior...which cost about $1 for each piece. I had an old wood handle that i used and it fit and worked well. Sort of a vital tool if you don’t want to mask long runs of trim and such.Update: I have broken two of these by trying to adjust the angle by pushing it against the ground while holding the long broom handle. Don’t do this!! Both times I was holding a paint spray gun etc. and dint want to set everything down while painting and tried to adjust it on the ground...sadly that will cause it to break. I would still buy one just don’t force things and it should be fine. I’m going to try to superglue them back together rather than buy a third one.

With a little grinding or filing will do a 90 degree bend
Very comfortable and well made handle. Will swivel up to a little over 45 degrees out of the box. But you can see where the handle has a bit to much material to clear the base of the plastic paddle. But the slot can be filed or ground to give it a chamfer on each side that will clear the paddle at its ball end so it will swivel to a full 90 degrees. The slot DOES NOT need to be made wider, just chamferred as you would for a butt weld. The handle really holds firmly at whatever angle you set it to, even at 90 degrees if you modify yours. It does so withjust easy finger tightening of the lock screw. The paddle holds the cardboard shields from Home Depot very well. If the factory had chamferred the slot to allow a 90 degree setting I would give it a five star rating.

Big and lightweight
Works great, BUT, it is fairly thick, so you won’t get a tight edge when trying to go up against a piece of trim or a joining wall. I ended up running a line of tape and then putting this a quarter inch off of where I was spraying the paint. The tape gave me the clean edge and the shield kept the paint off of the unwanted area.

very heavy
The idea is good but It's way too strong and heavy. I got rid of the handle and ball joint end, and screwed the cardboard holder to a cut off end of a broom end so I'd have the female threads. I then screwed this into a plastic universal pole swivel attachment. This way I can still adjust with the swivel attachment, and hold the cardboard. I also cut a lot of plastic off of the holder since it is way too strong for just holding a piece of cardboard.Worked great. The holder tongs will bend the cardboard if slid all the way in which then makes it not mask a straight edge. I just made sure to not slide it all the way.

Good design, light weight, ez to hold while painting
This allows you to get right up to the wall/ceiling joint or trim work without slopping paint on unwanted surfaces. Doesn't totally eliminate the need to cut in with a brush certainly is a time saver. I prefer to run a strip of 2" painters, tape along the edge to make cleanup quicker and easier.

My Life Is Complete Now
I love this thing. It's only $12. Thank you China! It's perfect for spray painting bedliner on my van, or using with other spray paint cans. It's easy to clean off once you get paint all over it. It's light weight so you can easily hold it with one hand while you spray with the other hand. If you want to get fancy you can even tape some paper onto it and then you keep paint shield pristine. I'm lazy though so I just wipe it off when I'm doing using it like the rest of humanity. You can bend it and get the edge in tight little spaces. It's get for touch ups when you don't want to spend 12 hours taping and plastic sheeting your entire van again.
