Great idea - a couple of issues
******Updating my rating from 3 to 4 stars. I am getting so much use out of this product - it's worth it even with a few minor issues.****** Love Magswitch products - this is my 5th purchase of a Magswitch product and generally speaking I have been very pleased. This one is a great concept, and I think it will work OK, but I wanted to point out two things I ran into. First - the product is supposed to work for 22 -270 degrees, but as you can see in the first photo, the throw handles get in the way as you pass 30 degrees. Even with both handles in the "on" position, I can only get to 27 degrees because the handles block going further. The engineering drawings they included with the product show a different kind of handle with a lower profile - maybe that style handle would work, but that isn't what I got. Second - The product manual says the dial on the elbow is marked in 5 degree increments - it is not. It is marked in 9 degree increments (which is why I said I could only reach 27 degrees :) ). 9 degree increments? Of these angles (0, 9, 18, 27, 36, 45), I'd say two are commonly used and you don't need this product for either of them. 5 degree increments would make sense for the less commonly used angles , 9 degrees doesn't, but at least make the owners manual match up with the product. Again, love the other products I have - this one is a great idea, just poorly executed in the details. I'm planning on calling them to see if I'm missing something - will post an update.

The plate sat a 30* angle like it wasn’t nothing
Pricey but SOOOO worth it!!! I’m about to tackle a roll cage in my Nova and look forward to using this as an extra set of hands. I’ve tried and tested it’s stregth on other projects and it’s very impressive. I had a 3/16” plate 15” x 7” suspended in air on one side of the magnet while the other side was stuck to my table. The plate sat a 30* angle like it wasn’t nothing. I’m more than confident this will be a useful tool during my roll cage build. Just make sure when using, that you don’t get the magnets hot. You will ruin the magnets strength if you get them too hot. I’m very cautious about this, I just use it for tacking and then the magnet is removed from the work. I ruined a few strong hands magnets that way and won’t make that same mistake with this badass magnet. If you’re on the fence about buying this, just get it. You’ll be glad you did!

Mag Switch Products
Mag switch products are amazing! This Mag switch adjustable angle is fantastic. They work perfectly. In fact I liked this one so much I bought a second one. Absolutely worth every penny.

good product
I bought these to help with a railing i was building. They work great, articulate well, the only reason i gave them four stars is because the magnets aren't as strong as i would like. These are life savers for guys like me who work alone and have no one to help hold items in place.

For me: indispensable
If you're doing anything off-angle (not 90 degrees) and you need a repeatable angle, this thing is indispensable. It's expensive, but I use it so much that I'm thinking about buying a second one.In my experience, the angle marks on the side will only get you within 2-3 degrees of an accurate angle but it's easy enough to set your angle with a protractor and lock it down. The magnets have been plenty strong for everything I have needed it for.
