K&N is a really good product
I use K&N on all my vehicles including maverick trail side by sides. It’s a quality product that delivers performance and lets the engine breathe. My son swears his focus ST is running more efficiently; accelerating faster, idling smoother and just “ feels like it kicks up quicker with the turbo”. Thank you for a great performance product

Install advice. Love it.
Here's some tips that might help you install this in a 2012, 2013 Ford Focus. You'll need a 7 mm socket and an extension for your ratchet. There's four 7 mm screws that hold down the top of the airbox cover, and you'll need the extension for two of them. Once you get the screws loose you might have to jiggle the airbox cover to get it off. With the stock air filter, try lifting it up from the back before you try and pull it out, because the back cover of the filter fits in a groove at the bottom half of the airbox. Before putting this new filter in, try slipping the top air box cover on it so you can see how the end cap of the filter slips into the groove. You've got to line it up perfectly and get it in the groove or you won't be able to line up your screws when you put it back together. When you put in this new filter stick the mouth part over the inlet pipe, reach down with your fingers and grab the bottom of the filter end cap, lift it slightly and push/slip it into the bottom groove of the airbox. Make sure the filter is properly inside that bottom groove. Then when you put the top half of the airbox cover on, slip the end cap of the filter into the groove first then set the cover down flat. All your screw holes should line up if you got that end cap properly in the grooves, top and bottom. I had trouble lining everything up at first till I figured out how to get it properly in the grooves. It fits perfectly and was easy to install. It just took me a while to figure out the groove thing. But now that you know and if you focus on getting it in the grooves it will line up perfectly for you. I haven't driven the car yet, but it starts up fine, and idling and revving the engine in my parking stall it sounds smoother. Idle is rock solid stable and it seems more responsive to throttle. I love K&N filters so I'm kinda biased, they go in all my cars. But I really can tell the difference. It's great. Take your time installing it and you'll love it.

2012 Ford Focus OEM Replacement
I have no way of testing specific performance increases for this product, I can only go by what I experienced first-hand. I replaced my OEM air filter, the FoMoCo version, and I could instantly tell a difference. Part of this of course is because the old one needed to be replace; it was dirty. The other half of the picture is that this is indeed a better quality, more sturdy, and more breathable material. My 2012 Ford Focus runs better than ever. As for MPG increase claims, I see about 2-3 MPG higher than before on average. That is between city and highway driving, mostly highway. However, I also just replaced my oil as well. I'm not really a car guy, so I don't even know if dirty oil plays that big of a role in MPG. This is my experience with about 1000 miles past installation and the oil change. I reset my MPG after the last oil change and did the same with this one. Before I was getting 32.3 MPG average for the 10,000 miles between oil changes, including city and highway driving. Now I am getting about 34.7, and it was as high as 35.3 before I started all my heavy city driving again. The increase may actually be a little higher as I wrote a paper for a college class in my vehicle with the car running and the A/C on, while charging my laptop with the power inverter in my car since it was about to die in the Starbucks that didn't have available outlets. As far as my car goes, I use fully synthetic oil from Valvoline (5W-20) and the FRAM fully synthetic oil filter. I have about 33,000 miles on my car.

Not the oily kind that ruins your MAF sensor.
Wow. I got this for my daily gas saver Focus. I've never expected any measure of performance from it because its just not made for that. I dropped this in and drove around for a few days not noticing much but then I had an instance where traffic was a pain and I needed to accelerate quickly and I heard and felt the extra power! It wasn't like a shot of NO2 or anything spectacular but I was very surprised and also impressed with the difference. I'd buy it again.

Quality filter
Used in a 2013 ford escape 2.0 eco boost turbo. No issues with fitment. Price is was a little higher then I thought it should be. Car seems to have stronger acceleration with the filter when paired with a focus RS intake lid.

Auto rennt wie Gift auch wenn es kein Rennwagen ist. Sehr nachhaltig da er sich auswaschen lässt was Müll reduziert. Danke, bis zum nächsten mal

Did notice any power gain but wasn’t looking to gain any .. easy to clean and cheaper in the long run … always run k&n filers in my vehicles…
