Just like in The Big Blue Marble!
My brother and I used to watch The Witch's Sister on The Big Blue Marble over and over as kids until we wore out our VHS recording of it. This book was about an hour's read time and a great way to spend a bit of a rainy afternoon. I gave it to my brother after reading and he was tickled about it too. Wonderful nostalgia and a fun tale for all ages.

Awesome read down memory lane
Read this back when I was in the 7th grade. Loved it then and now that I just turned 50?Like coming home.

Great for reluctant readers
My 9-y-o daughter loves this series. She was a reluctant reader whose interest in reading took off with this author (among others).

I loved, loved
Okay, I loved, loved, LOVED these books as a kid and I really wanted to love them as an adult, but this printing really got me steamed. It's riddled with typos and errors I don't remember being in the original prints, and the quality of the book itself makes me wonder if Aladdin didn't decide to make these print-on-demand?That said, I'm still in love with the story, even as an adult. I still love Mouse and Judith and Lynn. Now, as a mother, I worry about Stevie like I never did when I first read these. I still find myself wondering about Mrs. Tuggle--is she or isn't she? And I still love Lynn's mother because she reminds me of my own. Still, the errors were distracting and the poor quality (much like a POD book), detracted from my experience. That said, I'll probably still buy the rest of the series because I'm eager to relive my childhood favorites. I WISH WISH WISH these were available in ebook format, because I'd prefer that if "The Witch's Sister" is any judge of quality of the print editions for the whole series, but I can't find fault in the story as a whole.

Tea: Oh just half a cup, please
Now this book, hit me 50/50. Some of it I enjoyed (the personalities of the two best friends and the banter and suspicions back and forth was very funny), and some of it I wasn't sure of it was expertly written or just plain corny and dull.I wish there had been a little bit more tension in the book, the suspense and the build up, and less focus directly on the 'suspected' sister.I just wasn't totally enthralled by this book. For younger readers, per the subject on witches, I preferred the book, The Witch of Blackbird Pond.
