Gave wrong review and another similar product. I thought it was this one but it was cheaper & did not fit at all as the description says it would. This true kitchen aid shield is wonderful. I ended up spending the extra money for it but it fits my 6 qt. lift handle Kitchen Aid mixer perfect.

Bought a mixer from the club store and got ambitious. Making pizza dough and fresh pasta is a whole lot easier. But yeah, the mess would go everywhere when first starting out and it's too fast to stay in the bowl. having this shields it from splashing everywhere and makes adding ingredients alot easier. First time out, forgot to raise the bowl and figured I'd broke it, but the plastic flexes well and no damage. snaps on and off easier too. Nice product, albeit a bit pricey.

This is a durable quality shield. It makes adding the ingredients a lot easier when making bread.

This pouring shield is a kitchenaid accessory. I went to the kitchenaid website and searched for accessories for my particular mixer, a professional 5 bowl lift. It gave me this part number for the kitchenaid pouring shield . When I received the shield from Amazon, it did not fit my mixer bowl. It was too big. I highly recommend that you measure your bowl diameter and find the shield that will fit. They all have the diameter measurement in the information. I did find a shield that works for my mixer. This is a really nice pouring shield and I wish it worked for me but it doesn't do me any good if it doesn't fit. Good luck in finding a shield that will work for you. It is too big for my bowl. I have a K5SS 5 qt bowl-lift, which is not the one model it claims not to fit. I waited to long to use it for the first time, and now I cannot return it.
