The remotes work from a Sony camera (I have A1’s and A7 lV’s) but….it didn’t fire my Godox flash for Sony which has the Sony multi-interface shoe (looks like a regular flash foot with extra connections at front of foot. Since I had switched from Canon to Sony and had some older Canon strobes still around,, I can trigger my Canon and Godox Canon footed strobes from my Sony camera with this trigger. So transmitter works with Sony cameras but not with Sony multi-interface flashes. I will keep it because it makes a good back-up for some of my older equipment (including older studio strobes) that had simpler interface. L

The good news is that this does work with my Sony A7Rii and my strobes. However the documentation with these units is a little lacking. Yes, it shows how to use them. But it doesn't have any trouble-shooting information or advice about the batteries. After some at-home troubleshooting I've discovered that this works best with 1.5V AAA Alkaline batteries. It will work initially with fully charged 1.2 V NiMH/NiCD rechargeable AAA batteries. But it those fully charged batteries have sat for any period of time (even a couple of days) then it may simply not fire at all. I suspect a 1.5v rechargeable Lithium Ion battery would be fine, but you can get about 200 alkaline for the price of a few batteries and the charger, so I haven't bought one to test my theory.

I've been doing photos for a while and have used a few other brands of flash remote and transmitters. But this one is so moody. Sometimes works sometimes just does not work.
