ATI TEAS Test Study Guide 2017: ATI TEAS Study Manual with ATI TEAS Practice Tests for the ATI TEAS 6

I’m happy I also have Version 5. In this recent version... The math section specifically mentions to write out all answers then proceeds to solve problems without writing anything out... so I have had to YouTube a lot, there are no real practice problems along the way. Also, really frustrating when it says you HAVE to memorize conversions and you look at this entire table of conversion to see all of the example or practice problems not working out how they got the conversion or not using ANY units from the table it said you have to memorize.The book does state in the beginning that it can’t cover everything on the test, it’s basics, but this is the basic of basics.I got this version for my TEAS test next week so I could make sure I wasn’t missing anything, but I feel more confident using version 5.The photos I included just give you an idea how, they use extremely simple conversions, but don’t tell you how they got there or how to check yourself (version 5 did) so how are you to practice with complex numbers?? Also the conversion table they tell you to memorize, but the problems don’t use any of those conversions. It helps if you can practice them to remember them... I’m not terrible at math, but I’m more comfortable working problems out so I can check myself.Honest I wouldn’t recommend it. I wish I had just spent the $100 on the online study guide from ATI... I haven’t even looked over the science section yet, but it’s been so frustrating so far that I can only imagine I will still feel the same and want to return it...

I studied this book every day for two weeks and I did very well on the exam. I am pretty good when it comes to English and Grammar, but there were several things that I didn't even know about. I'm horrible at math, but the examples in the book helped a lot! I actually did better on the Math section of the TEAS than any other section. The science portion is honestly boring, but the TEAS test is so broad when it comes to the science. I studied my Anatomy and Physiology book more than the science section in the TEAS study book. But overall, I think this book helped a ton! I made a 76 on my TEAS test and it got me a high score (in my opinion), and i got accepted into nursing school. The average score for those who applied at my program was only a 65%.

If you have this book as a study guide, get a new book. There were so many incorrect answers, misinformation and basic printing errors throughout this cheap book. I felt like I was reading something written during an all nighter writing session. Luckily I held on to my textbooks for reference, which is why I know so many answers and "alternative facts" provided by "Trivium" were wrong. Here is what I eventually ended up doing in order to get prepared for my exam: instead of studying "Trivium's" incorrect information & poorly written practice questions, I took their topic, for example "Basic Cell Structure", found it in my textbooks from college (University of California Santa Cruz, B.S. in Neuroscience) and studied for my life.

I'm not sure how this book got as high a rating as it did, unless people didn't really read the book. First there are several questions in the practice test that have incorrect answers. The content is ok in the book, however is confusing at times. For easier subjects there is plenty of information, however with the more complicated subjects, large amounts of important information are left out. For example on page 187, practice question #2 asks the questions "Which of the following is the correct formula for chromium (III) oxide? No where in the book does it discuss the importantance of the roman numerals, and you need to understand that to answer the question. On page 186, practice question #1 "Which of these is not a properly named chemical by ionic nomenclature?", I still can't figure out why the correct answer is what it is because of the lack of information in the book. And this may seem easy to someone who has just taken Chemisty however for anyone who hasn't taken it in several years this isn't recently learned knowledge.For the math portion of the book, several steps are left out when they solve the problem, to the point that I had no idea how they came up with the answer, and even wondered if it was correct since I've found severeal incidents of answers being incorrect.Lastly the "English and Lanuage Usage" is one of the lowest scores overall for all students taking the TEAS and would be a great way for most people to bring up their scores. The book does a poor job in imparting knowledge to the reader, itmentions knowing how to use commas is important, but does not give an rules. And this was important because many questions on the TEAS were about sentence structure and use of puncation. The whole "English and Language Usage" section is only 11 pages long and but on the TEAS it is its own subtest. Now compare that to the 29 pages of Chemistry, which I maybe had 3 questions on the TEAS (this is the general science section of the test). And what makes it worse, for the chemistry questions, I got the ones where only half the information was given in the book, and required me to do further research online.I highly recommened a different book, or if this is your only option -- use the internet to further anything that this book lacks.

The material provided a great format and example for the actual TEAS and great learning skills .

The product I purchased was the ATI TEAS Test Study Guide 2017. My rating is a 5. The format of the book is simple and understandable. Subject questions appear to be on required level. On the first test the subject being math on number 27 I never understood the answer and it appears the graph did not match response. Then on the first test for the science portion number 16 was wrong, the answer key should be 12 thoracic nerves. Overall the material helped me organize my thoughts and helped me learn to time and pace myself.
