I was watching a video on how to repair something on a chainsaw and the guy in the video used a pair of forceps to facilitate the repair. Since it made the repair easier for the person in the video, and I needed to make the same repair, I ordered this set. I didn't need this many, but as I was unsure of what size would work best for me, I purchased a set of different sizes. Upon arrival I checked them all and they all worked. Sure, they are a little stiff starting out, but they loosen up with use and after you get used to applying pressure correctly with your fingers while opening and closing them. I used the long, straight pair to complete my chainsaw repair and it did made it a lot easier. Since then I have used one of them them a couple times when I needed a "needle-nose" type device that could be clamped in place (small tubing, string, wire, etc.). I'll work with them and if in the end I decide it was a bad purchase, oh well, I've made worse by a long shot given the low cost.
